At the end of this month I have a tournament where the only rule is bring a bound army. I will most likely have to face the likes of Nids and their FW models and up to 5 flyrants, knights and probably a few other Necron players. The goal of this list is to have redundancy and killing power.

I will be using the Decurion detachment with a formation from the Baal Exterminatus

Reclamation Legion

CCB
-Nightmareshroud, Warscythe, Phase Shifter, Phylactery

Immortals x5

Warriors x10
-ghost ark

Warriors x10
-Nightscythe

Tomb Blades x3
-Shield vanes x3

Destroyer Cult

D Lord
-gauntlet of conflagration, warscythe, phase shifter

Destroyers x3
- heavy upgrade x1

Destroyers x3
- heavy upgrade x1

Destroyers x3
-heavy upgrade x1

Heavy Destroyers x3

Conclave of the Burning One
Nightbringer shard

Cryptek x2
-god shackle, chronometon

The idea is to have the CCB move up next to the ghost ark to give them the rerolls, then have the tomb blades just move around and cause issues, may trade the shield vanes for nebulascopes. The nightbringer and his conclave will just move up the field trying to kill as much as possible, use the gaze of death to my benefit. The destroyers will try and kill as much as possible the formation is just amazing for what it does. The immortals will just be back field objective holders basically just needed to bring them for decurion. The warriors will be late game objective grabbers and the flier will be air support.

My biggest fear will be trying to take out FMCs or other things of that like. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I am more than willing to switch up my list.

The only thing I would say for FMCs is deathbringer fleet. I believe they subtrackt from leadership so you would have an easier time grounding and then death rays. Or more night sythes as the cheaper of the two options. I used to love annihilation barges but 120 is too many points I feel now. I think the night sythe is now he better buy, espeshially with the way telsa works now.

I'm not sure how leadership affects grounding checks and with tesla, it only got worse. I see maybe nightscythes using them, but not sure about the doom scythes.

Doom Scythes can hit FMCs with their blast - the Hard to Hit section for them only requires Skyfire or Snapshots (as opposed to the similar, but differently worded section for Flyer vehicles, which prohibits blasts and templates as well).

The Leadership penalty won't affect Grounding tests, but it will power up your Nighbringer's Gaze of Death. Which would be great, except... Nightbringer dies to a stiff breeze. Seriously. He's never going to catch a Flyrant (6" move, 12" Gaze, can't snapshot Powers), and two Flyrants can shoot him to pieces in one round on average.

Whenever you think about taking a C'Tan, take a look at Spyders. 3 Spyders with TW Particle Beamers plus 3 scarabs is the same price as Nightbringer. The spyders are at least as shooty, killy, and tough as the C'Tan, plus you get a rapidly increasing supply of scarabs that can actually catch someone in melee, ever. C'Tan is seriously overpriced.

I would put the nightmare shroud on the D Lord. The bargeLord has an achilles heel that the nightmare shroud doesn't protect. The D Lord overall is a better place to put buffs.

Would it be more advantageous to take either the canoptek formation or triarch formation, as opposed to the c'tan formation.

Many people would probably say so, although I personally think the Conclave still has potential.

I would drop the Chronomotron, though, and instead take Veil on one and Solar Staff on the other. Now big poppa is cooking with Crisco.

What? You know he's got 8 T 8 wounds 4++ 5+ FNP/4+ RP wounds, right? 2 Flyrants statistically won't even take off a single wound per round. I'm really not sure what you are referring to, here.

You seem to referring to the C'Tan by himself and not in the context of the Conclave. So it's more like comparing 5 Spyder/Scarabs to one 8 wound T8 C'tan. That double HT combo you mentioned previously? It kills about a Spyder/turn while still struggling to do a single wound to the C'Tan. T8 is kind of a big deal, really.
