Hi everyone,
I hope this list makes sense. I have a game tomorrow and wanted to try something different for me, and wanted to get your opinion on the list. I almost always run the bikes, tank busters, meganobs, and trukk boyz. The rest is all new to me. Any help is welcome. Thanks.

Well shoot, thanks for pointing that out. I guess I could remove one of the Koptas but I would still need to find one point.
Ya, I like the models, but stormboyz are so expensive. I just got a couple boxes and am excited to try them out. It is a friendly game so I am going to proxy so I can run the formation and decide if they are worth the investment. I want to try vulcha skwad out. I was thinking having three PK with jet packs would be fun.

I would drop 4 of ammo runts on your lobba squad. Since they are barrage weapons, the closest model is considered to be firing first and since the ammo runts are attached to each model, it would mean you would have to move the closest lobba to the enemy back after using it's ammo runt in order for you to continue to get the reroll to hit.

Storm boyz can do what bikes should be able to do, they move 12, run 12 and then assault 12 :-p

If you arent against FW models, try using Zhadsnark's rules and a proxy. If he is your warlord, he gives a unit of bikes he joins Scout. But even if he isnt, he has Skilled Rider, which increases your jink and also lets you ignore that awful terrain slowing you down. And the best part? A powerklaw that hits at Init 4. 150 points, so approximately the cost of a kitted up warboss on a bike, too.

You could do without the deffkoptas altogether, they're worthless. I've had mixed luck with MSU Ork lists, but I wish you all the luck in the world.

I did not think about that with the ammo runts. That makes sense, and is a good way to get a few points back. Thanks for pointing that out.
And storm boyz only cost 3 more points than a normal boy. I worry about starting them in reserve and not being able to get them in assault until at least turn three. I wonder if it would be better to just run a second CAD and not take the formation.
I could take Zhadsnark. I have the forge world biker boss. Those would be some nice benefits. I worry a little about getting my bikers in to CC. They seem to be more about shooting now that biker nobs are not the way to go. I was actually thinking about dropping the Da lucky Stikk and taking the blitzbike instead for more fire power.
I am not totally sold on the koptas. Some people love them and others hate them. I have personally never run them before. For thirty points they seem like a good distraction and if they are ignored the TL missile in rear amour would be worth it I think. I have done ok with MSU. Units do get whipped fast if they are looked at.
Thanks for all the input guys!

Getting to CC can be tough. On the upside, with Zhadsnark on first turn if you turbo boost you get a 2+ cover save I believe (jink+exhaust+skilled rider) which really helps with survivability. Sure, some units can ignore it, but as long as you dont run right into a wall of heavy flamers. . .
Trukk rushes really struggle with surviving bottom of 1. If you dont go first, things are going to go poorly. Big mekks with KFFs can really help with survivability, as does taking bikers to run in front and give those precious, tasty cover saves. Something you could look at is swapping the flash gits for anothr unit of bikers. sure, the Gitz guns might have badass AP, but bikers are twin linked, and wont be trying to just stop and sit to take pot shots. Plus, the bikers are definitely more survivable, with t5 and a 4+ save, and 4 points cheaper. Just options, everybody has the flavor theyre aiming for.

Biker nobz are nice. They are very hard to kill but not very point effective. Deffkoptas are nice 2 wounds even though they aren't nobz.

Wait, where in the rule book does it say you are forced to fire a specific gun first? I don't believe that's ever been a thing. With barrage they all move off the first template placed, but you can choose which of your guns fires first. So you always fire one with a ammo runt first to reroll your shot.

Multiple Barrage, first bullet point.

Huh. Damn slight rules changes in 7th. Guess you have to form in a perfectly strait line and hope for the best.

We didn’t get to play last night. My kid got really sick. So we rescheduled for next week.
The problem with taking a Big Mek and more Bikes or Buggies is I would have to run a second CAD and probably not take the da Vulcha Skwad.
Or I could get the third HQ by running the Ork horde detachment. Then drop the Giitz (they don’t really fit anyway), and one of the koptas. Maybe lose the lobaz they will probably die fast any way. Then take a second squad of bikes, and a Big Mek with a KFF and a Kill saw. I would not have any heavy support. But with 10 PK and a Kill saw plus give everything that can take a rocket as a free upgrade that would give me 21 rockets one TL.
I don’t know what the math would look like I don’t have a book with me. I think it would work I may have to drop a few more things to make it work.

I really like your list. The only things I would change would be to drop the Flash Gitz, and replace them with more Mek Gunz. They're amazing for their points. Also, keep the koptas. You can use them to eat Overwatch so more of your Boyz can get stuck in.
