Alright, I have heard many conflicting things about what powers a normal Space Marine Librarian can generate from. In their listing it says that can generate powers from Biomancy, Pyromancy, Telekinesis and Telepathy. Then in the FAQ for Space Marines, it adds both Daemonic Disciplines. Someone then has told me that they can also generate from the Divination discipline because of the Psychic Cards for 7th addition, the table that lists all the powers it says that the Space Marines can generate powers from Divination but I would read that as the fact that it is accounting for Tigurius being able to generate powers from Divination. So how does everyone else see this ruling? To me it would seem that a normal Space Marine Librarian won't have access to Divination.

Short answer: no.

If it's not in their unit entry, or FAQ, they can't take it.

Those reference cards say yes because someone in the codex can (Tigarious). You'll also note it also says Chaos can, and the only way they can do it is through the Scroll of Magnus. Basically that reference card isn't worth the ink it's printed with.

The psychic cards never state that all psykers from the faction can take those powers, so if someone tries to claim that then they are straight up fabricating rules that aren't there.

Alright, then I have been reading the rules right. I thought it was strange when someone told me that my Imperial Fist Librarian could take Divination.

you guys are interpreting Ahriman's Divination cult incorrectly. The Thousands Sons were in fact not Psychic masters but instead....Dance masters! Divination is to the 41st millenium as the Harlem Shake is to the 21st Century.

Not "wrong" really - just misleading since Tiggy does in fact have access to Divination.
