Trailer reminds me of the Intro/song selection for Borderlands.

I am very impressed, I think it was a stunning choice.

Don't know that I'll ever play it, as I'm not really a fan of the way 'nids are designed, but that trailer was fantastic.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

I don't mind the music, the times have changed, we aren't living in the 80s anymore, neither should 40k music selections.

That said, back in the late 80s, Space Hulk and its Termies and Genestealers was my intro to the 40k universe. Ergo, I love all things Space Hulk.

I will totally get this game, I enjoy the current Space Hulk titles and this looks like it will hopefully be a cool FPS version.

Despite the silly music, I'm finding myself intrigued. I mean, it's based on the Unreal 4 engine, so at least it's not going to drown in its own glitches.

I guess we'll just have to see if the dialogue/level design/etc. is any good. I might well have to give this a try.

Also, don't forget the previous trailer they had for this game:

I just noticed that it specifically states that the summer trailer is "in-game footage"....that makes me feel better about the game!

The music should be classical with an operatic feel. Game looks good, music terrible enough to stop me buying. We are geeks gentlemen, we do not need this.

The music is not really my cup of tea, but the action is. I want another glorious Space Marine action packed game, I loved my time crushing puny orks with a thunder hammer... and hours and hours of using the heavy bolter online.

Give me that Assault Cannon, damn, I really want to see some gameplay videos so I can understand if I should be excited or sad with the game.

I enjoy a lot of hip hop, but that song is just crap.

Trailer was pretty uninspired too.

Wait a minute... you won't buy a game because of a music selection in a trailer for the game? Seems extremely childish.

As does labeling everyone who enjoys the trailer, video game, and miniatures. Call yourself a geek. Don't label me as one.

Yeah, if you asked me to describe Space Hulk as a FPS, that's pretty much how I'd see it

How I envision it;

Space Hulk Missions such as retrieve a relic, seal off a section of the Hulk, kill the broodlord etc. with randomly generated maps from a library of Chambers, corridors and rooms so that no one play-through is the same. I hope multiplayer is kinda like L4D where you can drop in and out, play as the stealers etc. Weapons wise though, I really, really want the feel from Killing Floor; most realistic feeling weapons in any FPS I've played - meaty, chunky, even a 9mm pistol felt effective.

That's probably just a pipe-dream though and we might just get a Cod zombies clone with a reskin :/ . So much potential.

Yeah, an L4D port would be pretty cool.

And it would make the most sense for a space hulk setting anyways.

Well you want to fight labels, start with the OP where he labeled people hating the music 'crying teens'. I am 32 btw and the music is not a playful take or stylish or sth, it is straight pathetic. Without the hip hop part, you could argue that it's funny on some level but hip hop and 40k is a NO (maybe, just maybe some weird/ psycho/ really agressive kind could fit some bad alien kids necromunda gang, still Id rather not in a million years) but hey why not rihanna she would be a great counterpoint to the grimdark and provide much needed ass. A fresh take! Or loco motion. Oh wait the last one would be better than this, at least you'd know it's a parody.

This is either a marketing troll scheme to make people talk about the trailer or someone's complete lack of taste.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

I keep seeing people say 'hip hop'... how on earth is the music in that trailer 'a style of popular music of US black and Hispanic origin, featuring rap with an electronic backing.'?

I mean, the closest is the mariachi band / hispanic link, but that's... tenuous.

Or.. you know.. We do have a third option: Someone with an actual education in stuff like this decided it's a song that really complements the style of the video and you just happen to dislike it.

You being 32 doesn't really give you any authority to decide whether something is pathetic or not.

So much negativity and misery.

I thought it was quite catchy and a break from the bulk of 40K adverts for games and products.

And guess what scrubs, the advert worked - it got you talking about it

Education yes that had to be University of Hip.

I mentioned my age because OP decided that people disliking it are 'crying teens'. I return the favour and say people liking it better return to their rnb and shake it.

No it's just some things don't fit together. 40k and my little pony work on their own but you cant make a serious cross-over of them.

Believe it or not, the cross-overs work surprisingly well. I'm a fan-

Spoiler:

On topic: The idea of a L4D type of 40k game is delicious. A bit different, I don't see you picking up random weapons from the scenario but choosing a class or customize your gear before a mission but that sounds fun as hell!

They'd need more than Genestealers though, entire maps only with them sounds a bit boring.

Pyrovores.

You know what's scary? Monsters.
You know what's also scary? A flamethrower in an enclosed space.

Imagine fighting what is basically a carnivorous living flamethrower in an tight corridor.

After Trailor #2, the Summer Trailor was quite boring. Yes, that video was made to compliment the tempo of the song, which I felt was a fantastic selection. And I hate Rap.

That snug is so infectious, I just can't stop humming along!

Yes except the fact that it's a parody. It's funny exactly because of how much these two things dont fit together.

Totally

@CthulusSpy - Ok, now that is a nice idea. My only concern is because how usually the hulks are packed with Genestealers sand little else, but I'd be up for all kinds of Tyranids... and Orks! And maybe some Renegades and Chaos ... Gods, I want another 40k action game so badly.
