Thanks for the info.

As a side note, I messaged MM on if they will sell Dark age. Currently of (ofcourse) but they said their buying department is looking into it.

I hope soon they work out some type of deal

St. Isaac looks like a load of fun. A guy who uses SCIENCE and apparently has a cache of mostly mint condition gear from the old federation.

Are there any others that played Necromunda? I played that from 92-2000. I loved it. Then it was dropped by GW. I found Infinity thru a friend of mine and Infinity helped with that void, but there was always that void, the one that could not be filled by Infinity alone, the void Necromunda left with the Underhive aesthetics and the gritty dirty in your face skirmish battles. A void that needed to be filled. When my friend that introduced me to Infinity told me about Dark Age I checked it out an was floored. A game similar to Necromunda but how I wanted Necromunda to be and similar to Infinity. I was sold and I can not control how much I enjoy and like this game. I just wish the Oklahoma City gaming community was a little more receptive. It is a pitty because once me and my friend demo this game to whomever, after one or two games in they buy a faction. It is that amazing! We as Dark Age players need to get this game into the spotlight. GW players and WarmaHordes players love the look and can get behind the mechanics of the game, and Infinity players love the skirmish setting but also the different fun mechanics Dark Age has to offer. This game can really close the gap between gamers and have every type of player playing one game, Dark Age, together. Win, win.

So am I the only one that is super excited about Saint Joan? Who cares if she is not mounted. She is Bad Ass enough. Her Faction reminds me of The Redemptionists from Necromunda. Saint Joan will baptize all in Fire and Wrath!!!

The amazing sculpts available at GenCon..... http://cmon.com/dark-age-gen-con-indy-2015-pre-releases/

Saint Joan is what I'm looking forward to the most out of everything in this entire game. She looks awesome.

This might be a more current "How to play". both sets are good to watch. If you want the very basics explained very well and in 15 min, check out this one. Other three are good fi you want more details and a full game.

Glad this game is going through the "infinity syndrome" with old stuff getting the amazing resculpts, getting more press, and hopefully be sold at MM or other online stores that can give a discount. I am all about Saint Joan, so going to no buy into the game until she is released with crew.

I'd love for Miniature Market to pick this up - and The Warstore too!

FRP games carries it though, as well as the previously mentioned Miniature Games Central:

http://www.miniaturegamescentral.com/dark-age/

Both offer discounted pricing.

Anyone have any news on when the CMON Online shop will start selling the GENCON 2015 stuff?

Like the new FORSAKEN rulebook, and select miniatures?

Maybe someone at CMoN forgot to flip the switch or something. These are supposed to be available during Gencon, right? Well, they're still not up on their store.

I'm thinking they might not go up until after Gencon if they didn't take the entire stock with them.

Who knows?

They *might* be nice and generous and extend the online shopping period but...?

Both use to carry it long ago. That's how I encountered the game.

They might have dropped it due to it moving slowly due to the hit or miss nature of the sculpts.

But for the last 2 years or so, it has been pretty much ALL hits - some of the most fantastic looking minis out there, right up there with INFINITY and MIERCE!

ONLINE GENCON SALE UPDATE:

(From Facebook)

Dark Age
1 hr ·

Due to a technical glitch in our system, we are unfortunately having issues with our GenCon Pre-Sale on the website. It currently looks like this issue will not be resolved before we return from the show, and we do apologize.

To make up for this, however, the GenCon items will be made available for a limited time through the CMON webstore when we return. We will post additional details early next week.

Dark Age as of yet has not started selling the Pre-Release models, hopefully soon.

I wouldn't expect anything until later this week at the earliest. Gencon was pretty hectic. 200k visitors over 4 days(60k unique). They'll probably unpack and recover for a few days at least.

Black Bases and Grey Plastic Forever:My quaint little hobby blog.

40k- The Kumunga Swarm (more)
Count Mortimer’s Private Security Force/Excavation Team (building)
Kabal of the Grieving Widow (less)

Plus other games- miniature and cardboard both.

Yeah I sorted all my stuff yesterday, and will start the building process this week.

I replaced all my generic forsaken and saint mary models, plus completed my generic forsaken I did not have as well as getting flense for my st mary force.

I didn't get the 2015 card pack, so hopefully the ones that didn't get resuplts (medic, Warwinds) aren't too different, I can always print the new cards off the website if they are too different.

Oh and My mounted mary was built and based before I left Gencon, i just need to do some finishing touches on the base before priming.

So the building and buing of new foam for my swapout bag begins.

I've been checking in on Dark Age for years and years (because: Brom), and only now with the unification / update of the sculpting have I ever considered playing the game behind the minis.

*scrolls around the DA site*

Fakk me, that's a lot of nice minis

So here's a breakdown of all the new Forsaken playstyles from a vet Dark Age Player:

Mark: Ranged focused, with lots of Toxin shenanigans and some neat tricks

John: Hammer/ Anvil tactics. Some of the toughest folks in the game.

Mary: Jack of all trades army with solid troops and some synergies

Luke: Tactically flexible army, that can hide in a wall of smoke.

Issac: GIANT ROBOTS THAT AREN'T CORE (and can't be!)

Prevailers: Hard to pin down. Angels and leaders change this army a lot, but has some seriously advanced tech for humans.

Joan: Scary troops supported by a crazy psychic Saint. What more could you want?

Johann: Grafted leaders and the ability to mix in some Skarrd units with generic Forsaken.

Nice succinct summary there - I appreciate it!

But what I REALLY need to know is - just WHEN are the GENCON 2015 items going to be available online in the CMON Shop?!?!?

Ha - this is more or less what has happened with me. I'm definitely a "minis-first" guy, so if those are even a little off I'm not interested... But if the minis are really nice I'm all in. Infinity's original super-anime style did absolutely nothing for me, but their new generation of sculpts convinced me and it's the same with Dark Age. One look at Saint Isaac and his crew got me to take another look, and unlike several years back now there are tons of other excellent pieces (I'm looking at you, Salt Nomads). And now that I've started checking out the rules I can't believe this isn't the most popular game around - I watched this tutorial video and downloaded and read the rules and I was pretty much instantly hooked (though now that I have a grasp of the gameplay I think THIS video is the best). Gameplay seems streamlined, deadly, and easy to pick up (which incidentally has been my barrier to going whole-hog into Infinity - the density/complexity of the ruleset).

Now I'm just waiting til the end of the month when I can make my first DA order - looking to get a handful of Outcasts (Brutes, Scuts, etc) so my son and I can play, though obviously Isaac (and holy Joan whenever she gets released) will be mine ASAP.

Agreed on all points!

But by the way - you live in one of the hotbeds of INFINITY ACTIVITY in the USA - you should be able to easily get in enough demo/tutorial/help games to get you comfortable playing it in no time flat!

I know, but most of that activity is down in Denver (and south), more than an hour away sans traffic... I've considered heading down to spectate the Feast of Blades (I think that's what it's called) but that's not really a sustainable distance for regular gaming unfortunately. And more unfortunate, none of the few FLGS up here have real Infinity communities.

I unfortunately didn't get a chance to get the DA miniatures I planned to at GenCon. They weren't selling to Exhibitors until the doors open and unfortunately I had tournaments to run at that time. :(

I've wanted me some Kukulkani for some time - Space Mesoamericans is soooo my thing - but held off between expecting to never get a game in + Warhammer Fantasy. Now that the first is a possibility and the second is being dismantled ... I find my hardest decision is whether to stick with the Kukulkani and say no to CORE and/or Outcasts or just give in and let the minis flow

What are the distributors that reliably stock Dark Age?
My Local has Southern Hobby and they have Dark Age stuff listed on their website, but it is on perma preorder. I'm pretty sure I can get the guy that orders for my local if one of their distributors carries it.
