Hey. Since i just recently picked up the sexy Necrons after some years in frustration over my chaos space marines i have question.
I have looked around but really can't find an answer so i thought you would be some kind of help. Are there still any reason for picking up an Catacomb Command Barge? I want to build up a decurion and was thinking about the command barge, but don't wanna invest in one if its not that good any more... So should i invest?

The bargeLord is absolutely still worth it.

He is crazy fast and brutally effective against the right targets.

BUT you have a big achilles heel that you have to absolutely protect. Armourbane CC wrecks you.

One neat thing to make sure to add to a bargeLord is the gauntlet of flame for increased crowd control.

The D Lord is the more overall tough as nails IC. I usually add a bargeLord as an addition to a list with a D Lord in it. And Orikan can also have an edge over the bargeLord in some lists.

It's role changed and it's slightly less durable but it's still a viable option.

Would recommend a CAD though, I find the Decurion, while resilient, doesn't offer a lot of firepower.

CAD + formation seems to be the way to go at the moment.
