I like this pack. The named ship boosts the raiders. The new Particle Beam screams to be put on the Relora. First Maje is pricey but seems fitting for Kazon. Just about all of the cards seem thematic, which I consider a big plus. If my squinty eyes make it out correctly First Maje boosts captain skill by 2 so Kazon can have at least 8 in faction now

The only thing that gets me is the 4 shot Photonic Charges being unique I didn't understand it with the blind pack and I don't understand it now. The 4 shot one is range 1 and 4 pts, personally I would rather have the 3 shot with range 1-2. But more than likely I will be upgrading my raiders to Particle Beams anyway so its no biggie.

I would like to get 2 of these even just for the 5 shot Particle Beam, but I was blessed with 5 Reloras during RiF, yup 5 So probably going to stick to 1 Razik. Still a good pack for Kazon.

So- this is like, what? The third Kazon ship in the game? Of all the factions to expand, WizKids chooses this (minor) faction from Voyager?!?! Ugh.

Looks like a solid release though. 5 attack dice Particle Beam Weapon for 4 points? I'm down with that. I agree on the Photonic Charges. I'd rather take the 3 dice, range 1-2 then 4 dice range 1. Unique? Eh, whatever. LOL I like the ship. Solid states, awesome action bar, and looks like a good upgrade bar too. Now here's to hoping it doesn't have the Banana Boat's maneuver dial...

It is the same class as the Banana Boat, so it will probably have the same dial. With the the 180 front and a 90 back it wasn't too bad. Most of the time you could still catch someone using a 1 or 2 bank instead of the red turns.

Yeah they are... not sure what to make of it and or why. Seems to me that WizKids could maybe work a bit more on "The Big Four" rather then creating a whole new faction. Eh, oh well. I like saying "Banana Boat" and the little jingle after it. http://www.tvadsongs.com/Banana_Boat_-_Australia.html

The Kazon have been a faction since the beginning, Vulcans were added after the fact. For a long time the Kazon only had the Nistrim Raider which wasn't a bad pack but difficult to build a fleet out of. The Relora helped a lot with some mussel, but they were still short on captains. The Razik helps them on all fronts. The new ship boosts the defense for the raider. They have some attack cancelation now and access to a skill 8 captain. Karden is boosting attacks as is the new Particle Beam. A squad of raiders with Particle Beams will be out gunning Klingons and have battle stations for only 22pts a ship.

They aren't going to roll OPs, but they are more of a focre now in casual play and may surprise a few people in faction pure venues.

To be fair, the Kazon weren't just a 'minor' faction in Voyager. - They were the shows main enemy in the early seasons.

Ok, they were a rubbish main enemy, but they were still the main enemy. - It probably wouldn't surprise me if they featured in more episodes than the Borg, to be honest.

I'll be honest. The only reason why I watched Voyager was Jerry Ryan as Seven of Nine, and even then, I wouldn't go out of my way or make plans to watch the show. It was more like I was sitting around playing video games or reading, or painting 40K stuff and "Oh look! Voyager is on. I'll throw it on for some background noise."

They really were a terrible villain species. Totally underwhelming. Low tech, bickering, weird dog poo hairdos, like low rent klingons without the appeal of the 'noble savage' trope. Literally a species the Ferengi could conquer...

Voyager is also my least favorite show.

They are an odd choice to make into a full faction and should have just been indy imo. I cannot imagine many new players walk into the store and say 'YES! I want to play those douches!'...

That this ship contains some very good options for them and some distinct upgrades in power suggests, along with the great Rom release, that all other factions are going to see boosts to balance them out more against the borg. Just a feeling I have.
