Hi all!

Some of you may have seen my orks, some may not ( go check them out, then )
but when it comes to tournaments I always end up with a lot of models I haven't painted or even modelled yet.

This time it's no different.

But since time is such a premium thing, I wanted to get my list finished asap (tournament is mid-april).
Even the rules pack isn't out yet, but I just can't wait for that to arrive.

So this is a list without a real plan, but which will - hopefully - be a lot of fun to play with.

Hope you like

HQ:
Warboss, bike, powerklaw, lucky stikk
Painboy, bike, grot orderly

Elite:
3 Meganobz, 2 Kombi-rokkets, killsaw, bosspole, rokket trukk
3 Meganobz, 3 Kombi-skorchaz, bosspole, rokket trukk
3 Meganobz, 3 Kombi-skorchaz, bosspole, rokket trukk

Troops:
10 Boyz, shootaz, big shoota, trukk
10 Boyz, shootaz, big shoota, trukk
10 gretchin, runt
10 gretchin, runt
10 gretchin, runt

Fast Attack:
7 Bikerz, nob, powerklaw, bozzpole
7 Bikerz, nob, powerklaw, bozzpole
6 Bikerz, nob, big choppa, bozzpole

Heavy:
10 Lootaz
3 Lobbaz, 1 extra crew, 3 ammo runtz
5 kannons, 5 extra crew, 5 ammo runt, upgrade 2 cannons > tractor cannons

note: I first thought about using zadsnark, but I think the lucky stikk could add more.
dunno

A big mek with KFF on bike might offer more to your trucks Than a warboss would.

I would consider losing grots for two more trucks with boyz, and then another painboy on bike in a second squad of bikes with the help of a second detachment. By the way I think you should consolidate bikes into two large squads.

You might need to find a way to get powerklaw in boyz mobs so that it's not so easy to just choose to shoot trucks with meganobz or the bikes

Consider a mek with each of the artillery for ld7

Consider a character with Lootas for mob rule.

I don't think you would need rokkitz on meganobz

You might want attack squigs on powerklaw HQs

Multiple barrage rules are setup such that you only get on Ammo Runt with the first Lobba and scrap the other two.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Thanks 4 the feedback, Rismonite

First of: it's quite a specific tournament - own scenarios and a LOT of scenery.
This often limits the deployment of large units.

Attack squig on the HQ not needed I guess, since he's got the lucky stikk.

A nob in a squad of boyz, could be of help, but the boyz are mainly there to block LOS, get in the way or grab an objective.
Seeing the meta here, I have no doubt they'll be gone quickly, so I didn't want to waste points on them (shootas are a decent upgrade)

If an opponent gives me the need to use a character with lootaz or artillery, I must have done something wrong.

another painboy would be great. As would a big Mek.
Unfortunately, I've run out of spare parts/models to make 'em.

But, I'll see if I can push some stuff around

That's a lot of Meganobz!
But if you take a few more then you can take the Bully Boyz formation

I agree! Scrap the upgrades and try to make them bully boyz. Also the rokkits on the meganob truck are odd? They are the first target I would shoot and they will most likely be going flat out first turn anyways. They would be ok on the shoota trucks.

Why three grot units? You already have backfield units to park on objective?

Ok, played some testgames and here's the reviewed list.
Some things are a bit of a gamble (what do you mean : "no bosspole" ?), but it kinda worked.

Only debate I'm having is which warlord to use.
The bike one is faster (both speed and in cc - given that they have to challenge, not a bad idea)
but can die a lot quicker without his jink (as I experienced against some Tau).
Megaarmour is a nice value package (but without invulnerable...)

HQ1: Warboss, Mega Armour, bosspole

OR

HQ1: Warboss, Warbike, Choppa of Da Ragnarork

HQ2: Big Mek, Warbike, Mega Forcefield, big choppa

> That 4+ invul is gold. that's also what you pay in points. the big choppa? well, he does get in cc.
> the original Painboy wasn't digging it for me. maybe in combination with the bigmek, it may work better,
but that would mean no warboss.

E1 : 3 Meganobz, Skorcha, Trukk
E2 : 3 Meganobz, Skorcha, Trukk
E3 : 3 Meganobz, Skorcha, Trukk

> Even though it was hilarious to put down 9 skorcha templates on 2 unfortunate dug-in units,
if it leaves you in the open vs a shooty army - it's not a good idea. Needed the points elsewhere too (that golden force field ).
No bosspole - unit is so small, they're either dead or won't need it.

T1: 10 boyz, shootaz, big shoota, nob, big choppa, rokkettrukk
T2: 10 boyz, shootaz, big shoota, nob, big choppa, rokkettrukk
T3: 10 boyz, shootaz, trukk
T4: 10 gretchin + runt

> I like shootaz. period.
big choppa is sufficient to pop most basic transports.

FA1: 7 warbikes, nob, klaw
FA2: 7 warbikes, nob, klaw
FA3: 6 warbikes, nob, big choppa

> there's simply no room to place big units. hence why they're small(ish).
it also means they always work together with each other or another unit, but they're different targets.
been facing quite some low-model count armies and having more units is quite nice.

HS1: 3 lobbas
HS2: 3 kannons, 2 traktor kannons, 4 ammo runtz
HS3: 10 lootaz

> firebase worked just fine. Did drop most excess runtz and came up nearly bare bones.
but seemed sufficient.

Here goes.
What's a lucky stikk? Is that a warlord trait?
How can you fit a painboy on a bike? Or a warboss on a bike?
9 meganobz is amazing.
Looks all right to me.

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.

Da Lucky Stikk is amazing. Lets you reroll all failed saving throws, to hit, and to wound. Adds +1WS to entire unit. But if you boff three rerolls, the model is removed from play.

Ummmm. . . . ork HQs can take bikes if theyd like.

MANZ are pretty cool, but not always cost effective, though if used appropriately they are devastating. Id save the points on Da Choppa of Da Ragnarork on that Big Mek(since his role is really to support via KFF) and maybe cut those big shootas in the shoota boy squad to give that nob biker a klaw upgrade. But thats more for personal preference, rather than necessity.

I was talking about how you model an ork on a warbike.
