Ok guys. I'm going to try as hard as i can to get a strait 5 game win streak so im trying to build as mean as list as possible while staying in the tourney guidlines. Which are, NO detachments. Codex rules and BRB rules only. and no unbound army. So here is what i got so far!
HQ
Hive Tyrant - wings, 2x devourer, electro shock grubs, Toxin sacs - 250

2x Venomthrope - 90

Tervigon - Electro schock grubs - 205
3x Tyranid warrior brood - 1 barbed strangler - 100

Troops
30x termagaunt - 120
Tervigon - electroshock grubs - 205
Total 2000
Ok so here is what i think i have. Everything. I have 5 flyers. 36 str 6 shots and 8 haywire missiles in the sky. I have 60 gaunts to flood the field. 2 tervigons to keep more scoring unites coming. I have 6 warriors for holding objectives and synapse. Venomthropes for stealth for the slow slogging units. i have 5 str 5 ap 5 flamers with haywire as well. i have 11 synapse creatures. 5 of which are t6 with tons of wounds.
This list i think, will do very well. Its not a very "friendly" list but thats not what im going for. I think list can handle all things. Maybe full termies will be a problem. But i havent seen one of those in a while.
So please, be crucial, tell me what you think

While triple flyrant is bugger hard to deal with, let me share something that's done well at tournaments and is a little outside the box if you will, plus some general tips
One of the cheapest and most effective ways to score objectives as tyrnaids and fill minimal troops requirements are 5 bare bone genestealers and 3 ripper bases with deep strike. For 115 points you meet your troops requirement and get excellent objective secured scoring, one unit having infiltrate, the other popping up anywhere they please and being VERY easy to hide.
Two tricks I'm also a fan of: giving a tervigon regen and, if you're feeling fancy, shreddershard beetles. With 6 wounds and 4+ regen, she's an immovable object in your opponents backfield. Shreddershards make her annoying to both units in cover and MEQ with a rending template weapon. Get her there by upgrading one flyrant with Hive Commander.
And the special sauce I bring in every competitive Tyranid list? 3 lictors and 3 mawlocs. The lictors can camp on objectives, and/or get uncomfortably close to your opponents expensive units. Anythings that gets near them risks not only getting charged by the lictor, but two Str 6 AP 2 pie plates that don't scatter.

Looks pretty nice. But there are some points spent that might be better spent elsewhere...I don't know that you'll be needing Toxin on the Tyrants, S6 wounds pretty easy, and with that 30 points, I would grab Hive Commander right off the top. I also don't know if a second Tervigon will justify the cost... Some of it is just "style" but while you have plenty of airpower. You lack units from the Heavy slot, and that is one of the best parts of our Codex. If you trim a Tervigon, and a few Termagants, you could add Twin Mawlocs. or a Dakkafex, with screen. Both of those will do a lot of work for you. Tunneling Rippers are another unit that gets overlooked, but they can produce very good results by DS onto Objectives.
Do you have access to a Bastion? "Veno in a box" is a very strong counter to most Alpha strikes.

OK cool cool. I def see what you mean as far as the mawlocs and the hive commander. Though i feel like without hive commander that leaves the army foot slogging. In that regard i dont feel like the mawlocs are that great cause they are in the back field alone. This is what i got for a rework.
Hive tyrant - wings, 2x devourer, hive commander, grub. 260
Hive tyrant - wings, 2x devourer, grubs. 240
2x venomthrope - 90
30x termagaunt 120
Tervigon - regen, grubs. 235
3x warriors 90
3x warriors 90

Crone - 155
Mawloc - 140
Mawloc - 140
Allies
Hive tyrant - wings 2x devourer grubs
3x ripper swarm - deep strike
2000 even.
The only real thing i do not like in this list so far is that i feel like the number of OS bodies is extremely low. At least for this type of army.Though i do feel like 2 mawlocs 3 flyrants 2 crones and a tervigon in the back line can prolly allow for holding back objectives pretty easy and forcing enemy to deal with alot of stuff all at once.
One fast question i have. Do you think it would be better to start the mawlocs on the table in t1 and just burrow them on turn 2. For the garuntee of a turn 3 arrival? or start in reserve and hope everything rolls in on t2?

Nice! Well you have 5 Troops, and can expect to average 3 spawns, and even if you only get one, that gives 6 Troops, enough for every objective. I personally would always start the Mawlocs off the table, the psychological pressure is a part of their power, and if you start on table, you lose that where will they strike? vibe. Twin Mawlocs can also wreck a gunline, and a Outflanked Tervigon can provide Synapse if needed, and use a Template to ruin Troops in cover, as well as vehicles, then spawn Troops to grab and hold stuff.
The reason Two Mawlocs is so cool, is that way if one craps out, you have a second chance to do damage. Also Mawlocs can clean up drop pod armys very well. Terror from the deep! the Combat Squads, then Smash the Pod. And still Deep Strike if called for.
I'd suggest you roll on Strategic for your Warlord trait, most everything on that chart is good, and Reserve Roll manipulation is one of them. Though, you almost always want Master of Ambush. And as Battle Forged, you get a re-roll on the chart.
Good luck! And good hunting!

By your rules the list is illegal as it is using a Combined Arms detachment and either another CAD or an Allied Detachment and you said no detachments and you're fielding TWO! Quite how you build a list with no detachments that is not unbound is beyond me admittedly. Also the allied detachment can't be taken with the same faction as the primary detachment so I'm guessing your CAD is your primary detachment which makes the AD illegal even if the tournament rules didn't have the bizarre no detachment rules.
As for the list I probably wouldn't bother with toxin on the Flyrants these days. You're rarely going to be in combat and you no longer get rerolls vs T6 (which is where you really want it).
I would split the venoms up for greater coverage, easier to hide and harder to kill. I would get more Flyrants and less Crones. I would consider 1 or 2 Mucolids to go with the Mawlocs as really give your opponent an issue with castling.

Rippers would be better than Warriors for holding Objectives since they are cheaper.
Or run a single Tyrant Guard w/ Adrenal Glands. Ever since the Nids win at LVO I'm intrigued to try that out.
I would also remove Toxin Sacs from the Flyrants and maybe get one or two Hive Commander to Outflank a Tervigon/Termagants.
