I apologize if this is in the wrong sub-forum. But, I was wondering when I should be taking terminator armor over regular armor for my Librarian. Is it only worth it if I'm assigning him to a Terminator squad? Because right now I want to attach him to my Sternguard and I'm not sure if those 25 points could be used elsewhere.

Outside of the Shield Eternal, it's the only way to give him a native Invulnerable painting or unlock a Storn Shield, so if he's your Warlord and you want to keep him alive then it's not a bad idea.

It also allows him to DS without a pod, which may or may not be useful depending on your list.

Would this mean that I could still keep him with the Sternguard if they were in a Drop Pod by just having him Deep Strike next to them?

He could either join them in the pod (taking up 2 slots), or DS next to them and join them the turn after. He cannot, however, join them in the same turn he Deep Strikes, so you're better off putting him in the pod.

The DS option is more for if you are running him with a DS Terminators.

Oh sorry, I'm still pretty new to the tabletop rules so I didn't know he could use the Drop Pod with Termie armor. Thanks!
