With the nerf to drakes will this list still be able to compete? I think that the addition of being able to roll up daemonology with the DP could help compensate for this problem.

I don't think the second drake is necessary. I always look at a list like this and think the rhinos are screaming first blood but that may just be me. Chaos core is terrible. I'd almost prefer 5 naked marines over the cultists but if you reserve them and have them walk onto an objective they may survive a turn or so.

Even with core being terrible, I almost think going double cad and having a second deamonic Prince is better than the second heldrake. Finding points is always the problem.

This is fine for casual play, chaos was never that competitve to begin with

Well one drake is for AA with the Hades, and the baledrake is for being a baledrake.

Unfortunately most of the RTT's around here don't allow double CAD so perhaps daemon allies is the answer?

If you take deamon allies then maybe Be'lakor? Some guarenteed invisibility would help either the nurgle lord or jugger lord make it to see combat.

Agreed, depending on how the points play out I may end up having to down grade the plagues to cultists which would make me not want to take the Nurgle spawn so I may switch to daemons primary and CSM allies which would require a complete overhaul of the list.

Should also mention that you need to check if wherever you go allows Self-Ally. Seems like that isn't as popular anymore with how the game has changed and Black Legion can't use the Allied Detchment because it breaks a restriction of the Detachment. "All units must have a different Faction as the Primary Detachment or no Faction". Black Legion is still CSM Faction.

Yeah the list is illegal you need another troops choice for the BL part of the list. Otherwise I don't like the Khorne Spawn unit as it seems too easy to deal with and a lack of invun and only a 3+ save on the Nurgle Lord is also a concern.

The trilas pred seems out of place as your only ground based AV it does little but give your opponents AT fire something to shoot at. I would start by dropping that.
