I was just looking through some old pics, looking for an example of something for another thread, and found these pics languishing from a few years ago.
I'd built/assembled them for a tournament.
I haven't posted them up before so feel free to enjoy and comment, cheers.

They all look like they would be really fun to play on.

That's the dream.
But yeah, I'm an advocate of interesting boards with bottle necks, firing lanes, impassable terrain or anything else to make the players think a bit.
I don't hold well with sparse mirror match tournament tables.

Good thinking. It is nice to have a board set up for a battle, terrain can really make a game so much better and these look great! The toy story table, what's that about?

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

There's a character called 'The Dreamer' who's dreams, nightmares and imaginary friends come to life. This seemed like a fun way to do a themed board for him.
I initially wanted to 'steampunk', repaint in monochrome or drastically weather the whole board to make it a bit more gritty but left it like this due to time constraints.

While they are are very well done, I think the toy board is my favorite. It's very different, and I like that you didn't weather it or wash it out. Retaining the bright, happy colors is great.

I just found a nice 2nd theme board to make for my Malifaux games, and a good excuse to get the dreamer and possibly collodi .

That toy table is a brilliant idea, very simple, and better yet, relatively cheap to achieve. Should probably look apropriately creepy if painted up a bit weathered and some broken doll limbs and heads strewn about.

Awesome stuff! I'd love to play a game of Malifaux (or anything, really!) on any of those!

A few are kind of boring but I love the toy one. The one with the wheat fields is my fav though.

I've gotta get my hobby space cleared off so I can get some Infinity terrain going...
