Some strong units which look competitive. I can't countenance walking marines, rhino's don't cost much.

You need mark of nurgle for blight grenades. War within the eye is hatred 'Chaos Space Marines' that what you really after?

Aren't the infiltrating chosen part of a formation? then you will need one more troop I think,

The chaos lord had a mark of nurgle sorry.

My battle scribe might be messed up then, it says hatred space marine (Which I thought was weird seeing as how its called war in the eye lol)

My thoughts on the walking were that I want to be shooting before assault. Can they do that in rhinos? (New to CSM)

Also I think your right about the chosen, any suggestions on how to fit this into 1500? Or Should I give up and go for 1850?

P.S Also ae people going to be like hur dur where is your heldrake?

You will have a problem walking a nurgle lord with khorne marines. I would suggest a small unit of plague marines in a rhino. Or two.

Helldrakes are alright, but so are two vindicators. As a CSM player you kinda have to write off anti aircraft unless you van afford the fw flyers.

Can you not have a lord with a different mark hanging out with troops with a different mark?

and the plague marines don't help me out with the troop tax I'm currently suffering lol.

Also can Cypher be the Warlord?

OK some CSM basics. you can't have mixed marks in the same unit.
A lord with the mark of nurgle unlocks plague marines as troops.

Battlescribe isn't the best tool for army building to start with, a good read of the codex is important.

Unfortunately Cypher has a special rule saying he cannot be your warlord. And further, he reduces the LD of your warlord by one!

Possible rules quandry as to if the cancels out with Veterans of the Long War...

Cypher cannot be your Warlord, it's in the Dataslate.

I play Cypher with a 10-man squad of power sword-wielding Chosen, then back them up with a squad of Chosen with plasma guns and/or meltas. Cypher with the power sword-wielding Chosen slaughter MEQs, while the rest handle termies and vehicles.

What would be the purpose of power swords over Lighting Claws? From my understanding lighting claws are just better power swords?

Also is your plan successful? Because that's kind of what I wanted was an elite antiMEQ strikeforce infiltrating in while my vehicles pounded stuff lol.

lightning claws reroll wounds, power swords get an extra attack.

Two lightning claws gets you the extra attack but costs twice as much.

On a lord, a pfist/lclaw is a good combo.

So using some simple math, your able to get almost twice as many marines with the same AP value with swords as you are for twin claws?

My models have are modeled with twin lighting claws and I think I will keep modeling them that way but I may switch to what you are saying.

The CSM troop choice I wanted as a jack of all trades, I wanted them to be able to hold an objective with bolter shots but I also wanted them to assault if a threat is getting close. Maybe thats to much to ask. I feel like for 2 points more its a steal to get 2 ccw and a bolter.

My lord is pretty much a tax for warlord (the hand of darkness is for falco punching a friends tyranids MC for the lulz.)

Do you run a larger group of plasma chosen for extra wounds or keep them down to 4?

Before I put input into this quick question with no malice behind it, do you own the CSM codex? Or have access to it?

Also the same for IA:13 , please dont be one of those people who run units that they dont own the rules for.

I have the CSM Codex, it is at home and I'm at work lol (Workin right? haha)

I don't have the rules for the contempt. Read about it and liked it, is it in IA:13?

And I own the models except for the contemp. Willing to buy it if its any good though.

I like old school looking equipment/lore.

My Chosen are made up of DA Vet Squads and each of my CSM troop choice will be led by a DA vet.

I'd like to be able to take some of their heresy equipment.

My color scheme is black armor with silver details.
(Meph red for robes. After having already painted a lot of stuff I discovered its very similar to the silver covenant ><

Okay going to give you some pointers.

This list lacks any long range fire power or mobility.

Leaving all your troops to walk around the map is not a good thing, even with infiltrating

You are going MSU but given them no delivery option. Especially the chosen squads

Chosen are way overpriced for what they do.

The tri las predator will give you way more mileage especially if you are fighting MEQ armies more often.

Lastly, you have almost zero AA. Flyers are going to hurt. If you have a drake or can get one do it! (Wonderful against MEQ armies)

I don't understand why they would need transportation if they are 12 inchs away from the enemy? infiltrate

I could see adding rhinos to the troops.

Don't care for the model of the hell drake. Looks stupid beyond belief to me so I would have to convert one.

Are you playing any missions? The game isnt just kill your opponent.

Also its 12" assuming they cannot see you. Thats a big gamble that comes down to deployment. Also, 5 man units of assualting chosen even with power weapons arent an amazing steamroller unit.

I am just trying to give general pointers. If you are playing one person and list catering thats cool. Its just that this list will have a lot of trouble against most armies.
