Ive been playing my Space Wolves alot as of late and think its time to pick up Chaos again. With IA13 I can run some cool little hellblades but I really hate the model!
I was looking at something like this.
Do you think this would be an acceptable count as?

that model looks a little Nid-like for me... but otherwise its cool.
size wise its a bit bigger but no big deal.
the hellblades are super cool models though. the pilot looks awesome merging into it. IMO

Dunno if you realise, but that pic is of a converted Heldrake, which is 100% a CSM kit. But both of the dinobot kits have been a little controversial.
As to the OP, it has to be a very similar size and shape when put together that way, and it's on the right base. Frankly, if someone refused to play me on the basis of that model, I'd count it as a lucky escape, as that player probably wouldn't have been any fun any way.

Here is a quick shot of what I have so far. I decided to leave off the back wings to give it less of a hell talon look. I just need to grab some head bits off ebay and I'll be set. The middle wing is there but just hard to see in this pic.

This is what I copied my heldrakes/blades off of, with full intent to use them as either. No one's ever batted an eye either way.

ah! that explains it! not a fan of the heldrake(standard) but the conversion i see here make it pretty cool looking.

Very cool, looks very similar to my quick n' dirty conversion. I used the smaller wings to fit the smaller helblade size, and some gattling barrels from a vengeance battery for the autocannons.

I think its a fine conversion (although I prefer the real thing, it is pretty pricey )
The only thing to be careful of is to have allthe weapons clearly visible and wysiwyg.
