Looking specifically at the Tyrant's Legion Hellhounds with an Inferno Cannon (Torrent weapon) and a Multimelta. The tank is Fast so both weapons can shoot normally, but without POTMS it has to be at the same target, correct? These tanks would be my Anti-Tank but how do I use that Torrent? I'm almost completely unfamiliar with Template weapons so would I be fine hitting the main target (the tank that I shot with my Multimelta) with only a tiny bit of the Torrent while I as the player aim as much of the Template as possible at a nearby squad. As long as part of it hits the vehicle, I'm good?

From the rules for Template weapons:

"Against vehicles, the template must be placed to cover as much of the vehicle as possible without touching a friendly model."

I read the Template rules five times before posting this and I still managed to miss that. So, even with Torrent weapons, which have a lot more versatility on range, I'm stuck with a diagonal line over the vehicle? Well, guess I'm eating that shot...
