I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd finally say hi.

I've just started collecting 40k again after about a 15 year break. I used to collect Dark Angels, and this time round I'm having a go at building an Ork army. Didn't realise just how many models I'd need to paint when I made that decision, but it's too late now I guess!

Anyway, I'm currently working a 500pt army so I can start playing against my mates. They've mainly got space marines, so I think they're looking forward to having something a bit different to fight against.

Howdy! Welcome back to the hobby.
The amount of models (and the amount of money it translates to) can feel like pushing water uphill, but you're on the right track by sticking to a point budget. I'm doing much the same.

To focus on the positives: once I've painted as many basic Boyz as I'll need to, I might be able to do the character models some degree of justice. Silver linings, and all that

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
