Hey guys and gals, after a series of interesting turns in my life I am now the lead Warhammer coordinator of a Brooklyn based gaming store and community space known as The Brooklyn Strategist, and this is a shout out for my fellow Warhammer brethren!
Myself and many others here at the BStrat are looking for more adult and young players to swell our ranks and club weekends with games and banter. We have several boards and build spaces avilable for use, and a prominently strong and vibrant youth based gaming group during the mid day hours of the weekends (we all started somewhere!), however towards the evenings from around 3 or 4pm we have many experienced and older players looking for Fantasy, and 40K games throughout the evenings.
As a cheeky bonus we recently acquired the space next door and will be expanding our gaming space allowing us to run tournaments, leagues and heavily themed campaigns for people to join in on, and I would hope to see more of our vibrant gaming community players battling it out across our hallowed boards.
Anyways! I hope this is the right place to post such a thing and I really look forward to hearing back from some of you guys in the near future, if you have any questions post on the thread and I'll answer as and when I can.
P.s. I have 1000pts of Dark Eldar here itching to have a stab at some tough customers, let's see what you've got!

I know people come here looking for games down in the city. Hopefully some of them find their way to you.
Bit far of a drive for me though...

Yeah before I got there the organization of the Warhammer weekends club was a little lack luster, nothing some coffee and a good commissar can't sort out!
Table fees are $10 for 4 hours of game time. We are considering adjusting said prices depending on a new system we may bring in with the increase of space (not going up! Just different lay out)

Heh, thanks for the enticement, but if I’m heading down to the City, it’s probably because The Wife dragged me down there for some culture/architectural thing. I do try to keep track of gamers all over the Empire State and point them to their fellows whenever I can. Chiming in on all the threads means I can just search for my posts in this forum when trying to find people/places.
We’ve actually got a pretty good scene going on here in the capital region. My FLGS (Dirty Goblin Games) is running a 40k intro league on Wednesdays, and two tournaments a month. I know there are a few stores closer to Albany, and they run stuff as well. Come on up and visit!

If you are willing to drive ~3ish hours each way for a game, you are crazy, but I won’t tell you no. IIRC they get run on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, with one being a doubles tournament. Points and formats change, so I just ask or keep an eye on their webpage. But frankly with The Wife adding stuff to my weekends, I rarely make it there for the tournaments more then a few times a year.
There are stores up and down the Hudson if you are going on a tour.

Congratulations, I'm a NYer in exile and always glad to hear of a new gaming space.
If you have a minute can you add the Brooklyn Stategist (a bit of poke at the Compleat Strategist?) to the store finder.

Indeed we do! Best place is to head to our facebook page, simply search facebook for 'The Brooklyn Strategist' to get a feel for some of the players and games there, and post a message if your looking for a game and someone will offer up a throwdown as it were! Either way I am in the process of creating a formal way of organizing play there either via these forums, or when our new website launches (the old one is... somewhat.... no) I will shift game organization there.
Yes! I have actually, but it doesn't seem to have been registered in yet, should I contact an admin yet and ask if it needs more verification or something? I put it in yesterday, so another day or so perhaps? Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh and as for the Compleat Strategist thing, no I believe it was a compleat (get it?!) coincidence haha
