So, i just started playing orks and now i have 20 sluggas, 20 shootas (both with nobs with pk and boss pole) and a warboss. I play against csm, ig and sm and i have problems winning my friend who plays ig because his army is very tank heavy.

I'm thinking about getting my boys to max and maybe a trukk whit boys in it.

So what do you think i should get? I have pretty small budget so i don't want to buy something and realise that it was waste of money.

i would appreciate every suggestion

Just to clarify, does the [500] mean you want a 500 point list? or you have 500 points so far?

I'll write you up a couple of lists if you like

Oh sweet. How many points are you realistically aiming for? (so I know how much to suggest)

I'm aiming to atleast 1500 points but as i mentioned i have pretty small budget so i'm not going to buy it all at the same so if you could make "steps" to the list i would appreciate it

Well here's a list I threw together:

HQ:
Warboss
- power klaw
- boss pole
- attack squig

Weirdboy
- level 2 psyker

Elite:
5x Tankbustas
1x tank hammers
boss nob
-power klaw
- boss pole
- trukk

5x Tankbustas 65
1x tank hammers
boss nob
-power klaw
- boss pole
- trukk

5x meganobz
-Battle wagon
-deff rolla
-ard case

Troops:
10x boyz
- boss nob
- power klaw
- boss pole
- trukk

10x boyz
- boss nob
- power klaw
- boss pole
- trukk

20x shoot boys
- 2x big shootas
- boss nob
- boss pole

Heavy:
Gorkanaut

Battle wagon
- killkannon
- ard case
-4x rokkit launchas

This list is 1500 on the dot and seems like a pretty fun list to play and relatively cheap army to buy.
There are a few things I would have changed if you had a bigger budget, but altogether seems a fairly effective mech list.

Since you wanted it in stages I'd probably start buying up the trukks, weirdboy and the battle wagon to get you to 750 points.
750-1000 pick up the Gorkanaut.
1000-1500 buy the tank hunters and the meganobz with the final battle wagon.

I used up everything you already listed owning so you would spend less money on the army.
I know the Gorkanaut and 2x battle wagons are expensive to buy, but they have filled your points up very fast so it works out probably cheaper than buying multiple smaller point units. There's also the fact that they're very strong units

Hope you like it, let me know if there's anything you'd want changed.

You don't need Skyfire to take down flyers.

Volume of fire is another option. Tankbustas are pretty decent against flyers, they don't need to score many hits to bring them down.

Option 3 is ignore them.

If they're supersonic flyers you can just ignore them. Or if they hover you can just shoot them down normally without much of an issue.

Perhaps a gentleman's agreement with your friend not to bring fliers to a friendly game? Failing that, Mek Gunz and Lootas.

Tankbustas are ap3 so they are amazing against Space Marines. Though I suggest if you do groups of 5, getting 3 bomb squiggs and no tank hammers. I prefer 15 man blobs with just the nob bosspole upgrades.

Kustom mega kannons are amazing against Space Marines as they cut through armor and double out toughness 4. Instant killing anyone without a bike or Eternal Warrior.

Shokk Attack Guns are also great against Marines because they are large blast ap2.

Killakannons are large blast ap3.

Our Blitzabomba's bombs are ap2 large blast.

And 50% of the time Flashgitz cut through Space Marine armor.

Honestly Orcs do alright if you prepare for armor 3. Marines shouldn't be a huge problem. Honestly I only ever have any issues with tau and eldar as orks. Charging tau is painful, and out shooting them is impossible for Orcs. And against eldar we get no saves and they double theirs... Those are hard fights.
