So, this isn't so much proposing a rule for the overall but maybe a homebrew for fun and scenario games?

I wasn't sure where else to put it so I apologize if its wrong.

Why not better represent the chaos and randomness that is the warp by rolling for your psyker's powers per turn?
like I mean if im rolling space wolves, and picked just SW codex powers, each turn id re-roll and always have the primaris

or if I picked Biomancy and Sacntic id roll off each table per turn to see what my psyker could use.

again, just for scenarios or campaign/fun fluff battles. What do you think?

I think it would be a neat rule for a special character (doesn't Ahriman get something similar?), but it would be frustrating to have to do that for all your psykers in some armies. Imagine a psyker-heavy tzeentch army, for instance.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

I think it should be kept for Warlords or ICU models but YMMV I wouldn't mind doing it out of a SW army, but my girlfriend's daemon/chaos army would probably hate the confusion.
