From the Gama trade show the grand prize for the Q Continuum is going to be Borg Sphere 3095. This is interesting because the original solicit we saw only showed 3 ships, a Klingon BoP, an Excelsior class, and the Sphere. If the Sphere is the grand prize, what is the other monthly prize? The Trade show slide does say that it is a 3 month OP with a prize for each month. 

There is also a picture of something called a "Q-Continuum Card" no explanation as to what it is but my best guess is it's a participation prize for one of the three months.

Someone said month 3 was called "All Good Things" so hoping for a Future Enterprise/Galaxy-X.

That seems like a good idea but there would be major nerd rage if the future Enterprise was an OP prize. WK has released other OP ships, Gorn & Tholian, but people would be really pissed if that ship was released as a prize first. There are still people mad over the Sutherland and the Stargazer.

Of all the things Wizkids could do, they announce ANOTHER season of Borg-centric OP's? Really? The majority of the players have spoken and said the Borg are over powered. The "Suggested Tournament Format" came out to neuter the Borg (and a very few other select Dreadnaught builds- but let's face it, it was aimed squarely at the Borg). Scenario cards came out like Nebula limiting the Borg- or more precisely, ships with a 360 firing arc (and how many are there outside of Borg?). Now they want us to continue playing the OP's with a Borg background and another Borg ship as a Grand Prize.

At this point, it's like Wizkids are just rubbing it in our faces.

Well we don't know the scenarios yet and we have already done "Q Who" back in the Collective OP. So there is some hope that its not going to be borg games again. Hopefully we will actually have some scenery.

Wizkids are their own biggest trolls though, so it's not out of the question. I'm good either way, since it would be a non grand prize ship it shouldn't see the prices that Target Prime (which I got a great deal on, and only wanted because if we ever do faction pure locally my two favorite in show factions are MU and Borg) and the Sutherland hit.

Still really interested what the Excelsior class is going to be from it. I am hoping the model is a placeholder and we get something like the Lakota (Erika Benteen!) or Enterprise B.

I think we really need a better model of the excelsior to be frank.

I saw that on BGG. I don't disbelieve it, but it would be nice if the OP would post more about the emails context. Obviously one is wrong, the email or the trade show slide. If 5 LE cards are the prize get ready for the whole DS9 crew debacles all over again just when it looked like they knew how to run this company. I guess it could be worse, they could be GW.

Hopefully the prize cards are decent. Guess we'll see. At least it likely means the Sphere won't be insane on the secondary market if I don't win it through my local OP, it can go with the other Borg ships that I haven't been using.
