Hey guys, one of my friends is planning on fighting my green tide with his space wolves. Normally it's not a big deal because lots of death and attacks would be fun, but hes brining 3 AV 14 flyers with large blasts and a toughness test (remove from play) too. How can I take it down when I only have like 10 str 8 rokkitz?

AV14 flyers? Wut? You mean AV12 right? The Space Wolves only have access to the Stormfang and its variant which only have AV12 all around.
Also with regards to AA, are you able to proxy? Because we have some of the best AA artillery around with traktor kannons. Besides that you could also go for a good unit of lootas. Worst case scenario, you ignore them and grab board control and objectives. I'm assuming he's putting units inside which means they have to land at some point. Even if your green tide is occupied by the units that come out, you probably have other supporting units that can swoop in afterwards and shoot them up or crush them in CC with Klaws.

Thats a HUGE relief. I think he may have been trying to scare me lol. He will be proxing a lot, so i dont think he would mind. I want to get some of the Mek guns but I suck at conversions and they cost a LOT of coin. my list, fully, is:
110 boyz (10 rokkitz, 10 nobs/w p-claw
1 Warboss with the fearless bosspole from suppliment
9 kanz
PainBoy
2 units of grots

I checked the Space Wolf codex, they're over 200 points a pop for the Stormfang variant, and they only have a 6 man transport capacity. If he's taking 3 that's a huge chunk of points not on the board until after Turn 1. This means he's going to have very little to contest your green tide. Honestly, the large blasts aren't scary. They're only S6 AP3 which you can take FNP with and the take a strength test or die ability only comes into affect if the model suffers an unsaved wound. Boys only have 1 wound so it really doesn't do anything, if you failed the FNP save they're dead already. Just try to spread as much as you can beforehand.
If you're really that worried, take out a unit of killa kanz for a unit or lootas behind an aegis defence line or something, or take it out for a unit of tankbustas in a trukk, just make sure you hide the trukk behind terrain so they don't get blasted when the fliers come in.

Ah, he made them seem a LOT more scary then they are. I'm mostly worried about victory points now, as a unit can only take one objective... Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, wont I have to do the check anyways because FnP isnt a save?

Unsaved wounds include those AFTER taking your FnP save. It's not like Strength D or Instant Death, it only applies a remove-from-play effect after all available modes of ignoring the wound.

My best advice.
Make sure YOU get the charge.. not those pesky puppies.
Take shoota boyz. Everywhere. EVERY marine army hates volume of fire. Dont even bother taking high ap weapons against infantry. Make him save.. a lot.. and those puppies will fall.

Charging SW is usually a losing proposition, even for lists with better init, which you don't have. You're gonna need to shoot most of them to death.

Luckilly, you can do both. Shoot him to death and than charge in to do the killing. Counter-attack and 2 ccw are indeed good but you're loosing more if you're getting charged anywayz.
SW flyers are pretty good but they pay adequate ammount of points for it. And being flyers they're pretty awful at board controle early on.

That's true. I'd try to do both as well and get that furious charge going.

Green Tide w shootas is NASTY.
This is off the cuff. Not optimized but a starting point... too many shootas really.
