Subject: munchkin vs card wars - anyone familiar with both?

I was thinking of picking up one of these for me to play with the kids (7 and 11) and was wondering which one was more fun?
I read a play through of munchkin and it sounded pretty easy but couldn't find one on card wars.is it in the 7 to 11 year old range?
I do know that munchkin has been around for forever so I suppose that's a good sign.

What, overall, are you looking at for the kids? Game wise?
If it's this particular type of game, why not go with Adventuretime Munchkin?
If you're open to other options, let us know and we can certainly provide you some feedback there.

you hit the nail on the head.
adventure time munchkin or adventure time card wars.
I just don't know what the difference is between the 2 since I haven't seen any gameplay for card wars.

Card Wars was....weird for us. The gameplay wasn't bad, but it felt deficient.
Munchkin is what it is, but IMO, Adventuretime Munchkin is probably my favorite Munchkin. I think it would do really, really well with kids, and IMO would do better with multiple players.

I haven't played CW but I have taught a kid Munchkin from scratch.
It can be slow to teach Munchkin, even when they're really into it, but once learned, it's pretty easy to get back into. It took roughly an hour for us to do get the first game done... After that much much faster, 20mins tops. Very rarely having to consult the rules.
You also have the benefit of pocket-cash single booster expansions, which I pick up if I see lurking on the counter when I'm at game stores.

fwiw, Target sells Munchkin and Munchkin: Adventure Time. *Maybe* their boardgame sale is still running, so pick up Wits and Wagers: Family Edition while you're at it!
