Curious if anyone has any experience with running dual autarch list (not on jet bikes either hehe)?

thinking something like this and wondering if it might be effective.

Headquarters: 260 points (220 + 40)

110 - Autarch - banshee mask, deathspinner, fusion gun, warp jump generator

110 - Autarch - banshee mask, deathspinner, fusion gun, warp jump generator

40 - Warlock - singing spear

Elites: 255 points

255 - Fire Dragons Squad x5
- Wave Serpent - shuriken cannon, TL scatter lasers, holo-fields

Troops: 765 points

255 - Guardian Defenders Squad x10
- 1x platform - starcannon
- Wave Serpent - shuriken cannon, TL scatter lasers, holo-fields

tallies up to 1996 points at the moment.

the autarches would pop around the board with the spiders. can't take dual spinners so grabbed a fusion gun so they can take a shot at AV if positioning and opportunity is right and then pop away again, always on the move.

warlock would tag along with fragons and help them with another high str attack and buffs hopefully.

guardian and platforms would park/camp and shoot at TEQ/MEQ/infantry (perhaps eldar missiles instead for target flexibility?)

prisms would deal with LR AV or anti-horde depending on what might be on the table.

4x wave serpents on the board looks decent on paper but worthwhile for practical purposes (ie points better spent someplace else)?

i could drop the fragons and 4th wave serpent and grab a jetbike for the warlock and pick up a squad of 6 windriders and pump both spiders squads up to full and 3 more guardians.

Any thoughts, tips, suggestions, advice, insight, constructive criticism is always appreciated.

Re-read your rules for Warlocks

Otherwise, I don't see much issue with the list. I don't think two Autarchs are really needed. One will need to be your warlord, and will be easily taken out since it's not in a safe vehicle). I would drop at least one, and just take more spiders.

Ulthwe... where's the farseers and warlocks?

Autarchs have a few advantages over a Farseer:
- Reserves manipulation
- Better combat biker
- Cheaper min-cost HQ

You're not taking advantage of any of these. If you really want an autarch in this list then I suggest cutting all his upgrades except the fusion gun and attaching him to the Fire Dragons. Otherwise, just take a Farseer and attach him to Guardians or give him the mantle and bike. You're playing Ulthwe afterall!

The Fireprisms don't need Shuriken Cannons. I'd trade them for another Warp Spider. Or you could take a unit or two of War Walkers instead of Fire Prisms to give your heavy support more variety and to fit the Ulthwe theme.

If you really want to go full Ulthwe, then you should remove both Autarchs, take a Farseer and 2 more Warlocks, then assign each warlock to a Guardians unit. Attach the Farseer to one of these and buff them throughout the game while the Wave Serpents act as gunboats.

i didn't think one could take multiple individual warlocks. 1 single or 1 big squad to deathstar with a farseer.

So I guess it's ulthwe because of all the guardians? I can see it. I play ulthwe and can tell you that guardians are way better when supported by a farseer. If you took out an autarch and remove the shuriken cannons on the prisms (big waste of poitns) you could get a mantle farseer on jetbike. My list is very similar to yours and I take all 3 primaris powers for my farseer. two to-hit re-rolls and a witchfire is great for buffing your guardians and warp spiders and maybe shrieking something off the table! I would also drop the warlock and fill up those wave serpents with the additional 3 guardians. Also I would drop the holofields on the fire prisms. Spirit stones would be a better buy for them.
Also to go more with the ulthwe theme consider a vaul's wrath support battery. You could get the shadow weavers for 90 points and they are very good. The rules for artillery are awesome and the long ranged barrage shots are great for shenanigans!

Also yeah the warlock just can't join the fire dragons since he isn't an IC

You can take multiple as a single choice, but have to be immediately assigned to a squad or stay as a group. Either way, you missed the point. Warlocks can't join Dragons, only guardians defenders, storm guardians, windriders, or a warlock council.

I'm getting back into WH 40k after a long hiatus. don't have any of the new codexes or BRB atm. been contemplating what army to go with to get back into the fight with, so i do apologize for big errors (rules regarding warlocks no being IC) from lack of sourcebooks at my fingertips atm. can't go forking over the kind of disposable cash i used to so trying to do research and min/max my purchases of units that i can scale the list from 500 to 2k hopefully and can utilize boxes/bundles as best i can (i know not to bother with vypers from the battleforce box already hehe).
