I've always had a knack for horror games. My players are currently playing as children.

What topics are "too far"? We've already gotten to the point where they're probably going to have to kill other children, and I lightly (emphasis on the lightly) touched on the notion of rape of one of the children when she becomes a teenager. We never actually had a discussion about what's off the table. People were genuinely creeped out tonight, but no one was telling me that I was a sick feth that deserved to die, and I've known these guys long enough that they would give it to me straight were that the case.

Thinking about it after the fact, I think we need to have the non-grata conversation, but another part of genuine horror is to never stymie the bottomless pit it can be with some sort of safety net.

Thoughts? Outrage?

I feel that rape should be avoided in a group just as a rule of thumb.

The limits are group specific. If someone in your group ends up offended, you can't very well defend your actions by saying strangers on the internet were okay with it.

True. You and I have discussed morality in games before, but ultimately there's likely no universal answer. We will establish limitations next time we play.
