So here is my stab at a Khorne Daemonkin list.

Blood Host Detachment 1,126 points

Slaughtercult - 781 points
Chaos Lord w/Axe of Khorne, Juggernaught, Bloodforged Armour, Sigil of Corruption(225 pt)
Bloodletters x10 (100 pt)
Berzerkers x10 (190 pt)
Possessed x5 (150 pt)
Cultists x8 (58 pt)
Cultists x8 (58 pt)

War Engines - 345 points
Soulgrinder w/Phlegm Bombardment (165 pt)
Forgefiend (180 pt)

Combined Arms Detatchment - 724 points

HQ - 275 points
Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage (275 pt)

Troops - 193 points
Cultists x8 autogunsx7 (65 pt)
Cultists x8 autogunsx7, heavy stubber (70 pt)
Cultists x8 (58 pt)

Fast Attack - 256 points
Fleshhounds x16 (256 pt)

Total Points 1,850

The goal is target saturation and making use of the Objective Secured cultists to snag objectives. The Slaughtercult (minus the Chaos Lord) will form into a large blob in the center of battlefield, with the cultists in that detachment taking the lead, followed by the Possessed, Berzerkers, and Bloodletters. The JuggerLord will join with the Fleshhounds and advance enmass on one flank, while the BT will stay in Glide mode to advance along the opposite flank. The CAD cultists will claim any backfield objectives, and one-two of them will advance along the flanks as necessary. The Soulgrinder and Forgefiend will hang in the backfield, focusing on flyers first and offering supporting fire for the advancing units.

The CAD cultists that hang back will also serve as summoning fodder. I've learned that you have to keep one or two mortal characters out of harms way in order to summon a DP or BT using the Blood Tithe points (which this list should generate in droves). The BT and Juggerlord/hound combo on the flanks should draw so much fire that the center blob of units (which I like to call Khorne's Fist) will hit the enemy's line largely intact. If the opponent focuses fire on that center mass, then their flanks are going to get shredded, as both sides could be in assault range by Turn 2.

The biggest weakness I see is against a heavy mech army, such as IK. The BT might be able to take out one IK, but 3? Not gonna happen.

I might be wrong, but 8man cultists are only in the khorne slaughter-thing formation. With a CAD you need 10

Min size of 8 is correct, as the unit is the same one from the Daemonkin codex whether its taken as part of the formation or as a CAD. The formation simply gives you benefits for taking a certain number of units.

Hope that helps clear it up!

Against AV fliers I think the grinder and forge fiend can at least keep them jinking. Against Tyranid FMCs with a 3+, it will be tougher. I have thought about swapping the forge fiend for a CAD based heldrake, but the fact that it won't hit the board until turn 2 at the earliest doesn't bode well (as the hope is I will have my flank units in combat by that time)
