Subject: Bad Week to be a Game Store - Red Castle Games and Hero Support - Portland and Washougal
First, Hero Support right outside Portland, OR (Washougal, WA) suffers a fire from a careless cigarette and is having difficulties rebuilding:
via Hero Support on Facebook:
Second, Red Castle Games has a drunken driver go right through their front window:
via Red Castle Games -Facebook
https://www.facebook.com/redcastlegames A lot of people are asking how they can help, here are a few ways:
1. We could use a few extra hands cleaning all the dust of all the product and fixtures.
2. Once we reopen, hopefully tomorrow, Saturday 4/4, come buy a game.
3. If you can't help dust, don't want a game, help cover the costs that insurance won't with our GoFundMe campaign: http://www.gofundme.com/qsv7w2j 4. If you can't or don't want to do any of the above, send us your well wishes and share our story.
Thank you all for your support!

Had an old lady go through the front of The Hobby Shop in STL a few years back. They were closed for a LONG time (underinsured). When they reopened, it was too little, too late. About 6 to 9 months later they closed up.

We're hoping to avoid that. The Red Castle campaign is doing pretty well so far; Hero Support not so much.

Wow, that's terrible- I go to Red Castle, and sorry to hear they've had such terrible luck, they got robbed last year, too. Glad they're getting some support, and thanks for posting- it's nice to know to see if there's anything to help 'em with...
You need to be sueing the hell out of that driver.
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Red Castle Games is my local store.I work right across the street from it and have been going there since the day they opened. The staff and owners are friendly, helpful people who are actively trying to make our neighborhood a better placer and create an inclusive gaming space. I hope they get all the support they need.
