Subject: Blizzard removing acces to Battle.Net services for Crimea users

http://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-cuts-access-to-battlenet-in-crimea/ Title. Ever since Russia illegally militarily annexed Crimea, sanctions have been introduced against Russia. As part of those sanctions, Blizzard now blocked all Crimea accounts from accessing Battle.Net. Keep in mind that this isn't Blizzard's choice, they are obligated to do so. Now, interestingly enough, this doesn't apply to Russian players... ...although personally, I would GREATLY appreciate if it did.

Happy to see this, and I think that Russian players should be banned from any and all online gaming services, the gaming communities would benefit from it, and it would add more weigth to the growing sanctions against such a warmongering nation

Or they would just create their own servers. Like the Russian government's attitude to being embargoed from international organisations, they just make their own ones up, pack up their toys and go home. =P
But yeah, if they're blocking Crimea then Russia should be too, or is that much of a player loss too much of a hit to their wallets? Doubt it.

So you guys want private Russian citizens to be punished for the actions of their Government? A Government which, according to western media and politicians, is more totalitarian than it is genuinely democratic. And you want to punish Crimean gamers too. A bit harsh don't you think, considering that the official (western) narrative is that Crimea is being illegally occupied. You want Crimean gamers to be punished for the crime of being illegally occupied by Russia?

Why yes, I dont see a problem with that. Hit not just the Officals and other public figures with sanctions, but also punish the avarage Russian. And no, Russia gave up Crimea in return for its Nuclear weapons when the USSR where disovlved, so they have no place in the Crimea.

That's how sanctions work. If citizens are in accord with their government's actions, then they will be punished for following them.
