Hey dakka, been running necron cad and wanted to take a stab at a Decurion list. My goal was to leverage most improved units and special rules as much as possible. Here's my list which includes a fleshed out Reclamation Legion, Destroyer Cult and Flayed ones:

Rec. Legion (903)
Zahndrekh - 150
Warriors×10 - 130
Ghost Ark - 105
Warriors×10 - 130
Ghost ark - 105
Immortals×5 - 85
Tomb Blades×9 w/ scopes/vanes - 198

Destroyer Cult (695)
D. Lord w/ shifter/scythe - 155
Destroyers 2:1- 130
Destroyers 2:1- 130
Destroyers 2:1- 130
Heavy Ds×3 - 150

Flayed 1s×19 - 247
1845

Zahn-the-man and the D. Lord obviously join the Flayed ones for CC fun.

Okay, what do you think (?) - I've removed all heavy Destroyers and replaced the 180 points with 10 deathmarks! The DLord's preferred enemy, high toughness and save will lend itself to the deathmarks now. 2 Flayed ones were sacrificed to make room for a res orb on the DLord since the deathmarks will be high priority upon deepstrike.

Rec. Legion (903)
Zahndrekh - 150
Warriors×10 - 130
Ghost Ark - 105
Warriors×10 - 130
Ghost ark - 105
Immortals×5 - 85
Tomb Blades×9 w/ scopes/vanes - 198

Destroyer Cult (720)
D. Lord w/ shifter/scythe/res. orb - 180
Destroyers ×3 - 120
Destroyers ×3 - 120
Destroyers ×3 - 120

Deathmarks ×10 - 180

Flayed 1s×17 - 221
1844

Will the list miss 5 heavy Destroyers?

Who are you playing? Why flayed ones as opposed to lychguard or praetorians?

I like the list with the flayed ones more. I have been running a Cult inside decurion for awhile now and my flex slot is always the CC unit. I've tried wraiths, lychguard and flayed ones. All have been very good. Flayed ones with zealot is super dope and if you deploy on board as a giant wall or counter assault you can do nasty things. The other choice is to try and split them up into 2 units of 10 and outflank/ds one and keep the other around to defend your gun bros. This also leaves the option to reserve them according to what army your playing for tactical flexibility.

Lynchguard need a delivery system and don't have the power output I like to see.

Preatorians are a fun unit. I have to see if the adjudicator battalion fits. I really like the deathmarks and want to make sure I can fit them so long as the heavy destroyers are not sorely missed in the list. I tried making the preatorian/stalker formation fit before but I didn't like how it was working out.

Both lists have flayed ones the second list drops heavy destoyers to make room for the deathmarks.

I think your list makes your opponents decisions too easy. If you only have 1 big squad of flayed ones in his face they arent going to be completely effective, you need more target saturation. This can be done with more units of flayed ones, spreading your current unit out a bit, and some other fast assault units (wraiths/praetorians).

Aftermath can be calculated.

ow would you do that? The Decurion is a bit too rigid. And besides the flayed ones are benefiting from Fearless provided by Zahn.

I think the only squad that is above it's min size is the Blades, and again, that is to mitigate their lack of fearless.

If you're willing to remove Zan, then this list may be what you're looking for. It focuses MUCH more heavily on the destroyer cult, and the point is to surround the stalker w/ them for +1 BS to all of their shooting, giving you an insane probability of taking down your target w/ the Preferred Enemy and Extermination Protocols from the formation being essentially buffed by BS5 instead of BS4.

Your melee is coming strictly from the praetorians, but I've found that immortals w/ their 3+ save can become at least a small blockade if needed. The deathmarks are in there as a nice way to quickly handle a high priority target, but they could be removed if you think that the other shooting will do the trick.

This is a Decurrion Detachment consisting of a Reclamation Legion, Judicator Battalion, and Destroyer Cult:

HQ Overlord 80
HQ Destroyer Lord Solar Staff 125
Troop 10 Warriors Ghost Ark Transport 235
Troop 10 Warriors Ghost Ark Transport 235
Troop 5 Immortals 85
Elite 5 Deathmarks 90
Elite 5 Triarch Praetorians 5x Voidreapers and Particle Beamers 140
Elite 5 Triarch Praetorians 5x Voidreapers and Particle Beamers 140
Elite 1 Triarch Stalkers Heat Ray 125
Fast Attack Tomb Blades 54
Fast Attack Destroyers 2 extra models, 1x Heavy Destroyer upgrade (unit of 3 models) 130
Fast Attack Destroyers 2 extra models, 1x Heavy Destroyer upgrade (unit of 3 models) 130
Fast Attack Destroyers 2 extra models, 1x Heavy Destroyer upgrade (unit of 3 models) 130
Heavy Support Heavy Destroyers 2 extra models (unit of 3 models) 150
Total 1849

Keep in mind also, that some weapon choices can be changed around (especially in the Judicator Battalion as currently, there are a bunch of free swaps that i've made). You'll have to decide that based on the army you're fighting.

With this much mobility, you're looking at an army that can take the board by storm in the last couple of turns while laying out a really solid amount of fire from far away. You should never allow your cult to be assaulted, as clearly that's going to ruin your army. The destroyer lord can go into a squad w/ the Praetorians or accompany immortals if needed (but the overlord will already be doing that). The D-Lord's outfitting can be changed based on points that you might try to save/move around elsewhere.

I really like that! can you have two units of preatorians to one stalker though?

Yes, that's actually a requirement. The formation requires 2 units of Praetorians and 1 unit of stalkers, meaning that if you could free up points elsewhere, you could add up to 5 more praets per squad and 2 more Stalkers within the same formation (although i think it would be smarter to just make a new formation at that point).

Also, I think the real strength of this formation comes from your mobility, not even the shooting. Since you've got the jet bikes, 4 squads of jet pack infantry, 2 squads of jump infantry, and a jet pack infantry lord, you should always consider your mobility when it comes to objectives. You won't need to get there first, since you can shoot from far away, and boost to the objectives on the last turn or two (this should be your strategy -- distance shooting and boosting)

Oh i missed that.

So the choice in my eyes is: (1) Reclamation + D. Cult + Adjudicator; or (2) Reclamation + D. Cult + Deathmarks + Flayed Ones.

Not sure which I like more yet.

Do the Preatorians need support or are they solid on their own?
