Well I bit the bullet (no pun intended) and bought it. Had to clear my cache though on my browser cause I was stuck on the Eldar-mode GW. Also PayPal appears to be having some issues today.

Yeeah Im a bit split on this ..I love the Eversor and Culexus amazing modells ..the Callidus is fine ..but I dont like the boatrop for hair ..but that a easy fix

the Vindicare ..he look ok but Im disappointed, its so close to the original modell ..and he looks well old sculpt, I experted more from a master sniper then just ..standing
the old model with the ork skull is way better

And the price ..a bit much for 4 new modell a game (maybe its fun how knows..) but maby I will play it one time to ..

Hrm, unsure, if it appears on any discount sites I may buy it, but it'll be purely to sell on later.

I feel the price is a bit steep on this one.
Im really interested in seeing how they balance the dynamic in this though. Fluff and 40k rules wise 4 assassines Vs a chaos lord, 3 marines and some cultists should be an utter slaughter. Im assuming the board and "events" play a big part in twarting the assassins / making it harder for them.

Not really. As seen in various books, not least the Night Lords, 2-3 Chaos Marines (no Terminator, no Cultists) are a fair match for 1-2 Assassins. If anything, it puts CSM back up a bit to where they should be, but arent in regular 40K due to game-play reasons.

And by the same benchmark, there're plenty of fluff examples of just a combat squad (or less) of Space Marines (in Power Armour, even Scout Armour) slaughtering dozens or even hundreds of genestealers. 20 Genestealers vs. 10 Blood Angels 1st Company veterans + Mephiston is far more laughable than this set up.

Also it's likely the gameplay recycles the enemies, I'd expect a rule that limits movement with enemies present, so no Space Hulk style conga lines of enemies chasing the assassins through rooms.

Eversor, Vindicare, Callidus, Culexus. Fear these names, for they are death made manifest. Assassins all, they have been deployed to halt the work of the Sorcerer known as Severin Drask. They are the Assassinorum: Execution Force. Their mission, Operation Deathblow.

Assassinorum: Execution Force is a self-contained boxed game, complete with everything you need to play, including four beautiful new Assassin miniatures, available for the first time in plastic. Designed for up to four players, you are the Execution Force sent to hunt down and kill the Sorcerer Lord Drask. Along the way you’ll have to silence heretics, avoid patrols, battle your way past fanatical zealots and, should the need arise, take on the dreaded Chaos Space Marines. Nail biting, exciting, brilliant fun and, dare I say it, hilarious when things go wrong, this is one boxed game you cannot miss out on. Click on the link below to order your copy. While you’re there, pick up a copy of the accompanying novella and audio drama by Joe Parrino, both of which are excellent stories and great inspiration for your own games.

I also still only see Eldar, so I guess it hasn't. Kind of a bummer, as I'll be at a wedding all day and won't be able to order till later tonight. Hope this doesn't sell out like space hulk.

2014 Space Hulk is still available in stores, so there's probably no fear of missing this out.

I'm really into board games (currently XCOM the board game and Pandemic: On the Brink are the two I'm frequenting).

I've not managed to find out much about this game. It looks pretty with the models and tiles to play on - does anyone know about the rules of play?

I'm ignoring the cost (which is typically high for GW) as I'm likely able to get it elsewhere for less - I'm more interested in if it's an actual challenge and a tactical game that requires skill!

Thousand Sons: 3850pts / Space Marines Deathwatch 5000pts / Dark Eldar Webway Corsairs 2000pts / Scrapheap Challenged Orks 1500pts / Black Death 1500pts

Saga: (Vikings, Normans, Anglo Danes, Irish, Scots, Late Romans, Huns and Anglo Saxons), Lion Rampant, Ronin: (Bushi x2, Sohei), Frostgrave: (Enchanter, Thaumaturge, Illusionist)

I don't think there is much gameplay information, outside of what White Dwarf has shown.

The White Dwarf scans hint at some of the way it's played but there's nothing concrete.

I was kind of hoping the video GW released would be a bit more informative.

Indeed it is!

Games Workshop wrote:This is available while stocks last - given the quality of the game, and that this is the only place to get the Imperial Assassin miniatures deployable in Warhammer 40,000, we don’t expect these stocks to last long at all! Order Assassinorum Execution Force now to avoid missing out.

I wish vindicare were in a more active pose too, but I would have bought the 4 individual models at some point anyways, and the Chaos lord is a nice model, so I'll take one from my store's allocation
