The new Eldar seem pretty strong but they are nowhere near invincible. I personally am looking forward to the new challenges they will present and discovering ways to take them on as all this freaking out is a clear overreaction. Wow the Eldar get D weapons, guess what they are not much different from what the Wraith units get now so I am not worried about them. Scatter bikes? My IG tank list I immune to it unless they get on my rear armor (which will probably never happen) and my Tau can match them for range and Fire Power and I get Marker Light support to negate jink saves and improve my BS. I say BRING IT to the new Eldar and look forward to some great games against them.

This is simply not true.

D weapons are removing 6x as many Hull Points on average as S10 guns are from AV14.

A 5 man squad of Wraithguard currently stand a good, but hardly ironclad, chance of killing a Leman Russ or Land Raider. With the change to D weapons, the chance that they *won't* kill that tank is almost zero, as in most people won't ever see a failure occur.

Scatter bikes? My IG tank list I immune to it unless they get on my rear armor (which will probably never happen)
Only Leman Russ tanks. Every other vehicle in the army is exceedingly vulnerable to scatterlasers having AV12 front and AV10 sides, which are not often difficult all to get to, and Jetbike squads only six or seven strong, if universally equipped with Scatterlasers, will be putting out enough S6 fire to to glance any non-Leman Russ IG tank to death on average, even from the front.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

My Sisters have nothing that can stand the volume of fire, not for long, let alone the Ranged D. Luckily, no one I play with has an Eldar list... yet.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Was trying to come across more along the lines that Wraith Weapons were already nasty against Vehicles even before the increase to Strength D so freaking out about a unit that is going to wreck vehicles when they already do is just a little redundant. And that's why I am only taking Leman Russ variants of tanks as that was the theme I was going for with my DKOK (after the 7th Panzer or "Ghost Division" of Erwin Rommel) so that is why I am not concerned. Again im not saying they are not strong but they are by no means invincible, and its mainly kind of tiring to see all the complaining and worry about it when its happening regardless, at this point it would be better to find ways to wether the coming storm then quitting the game or alienating certain members of the community because you don't like it.

I am looking forward to playing against the new Eldar. I believe more is to be gained from losing than winning. I do not plan to lose, that is not my point. But a challenge seems far more interesting than a winning prospect. I guess I play to play and while I try to win, I can't say I play to win, strictly speaking. I would add that a difficult prospect of winning, a challenge, pushes me to think in new ways, to consider things I hadn't. And I can't wait to see the battle reports of those who win against them. I do believe many will find a way to do it. Someone has a thread on weapon systems to counter scatterlaser jetbikes: they are thinking. That's what I like to see.

I play a fluffy Khorne Berzerker army that also uses land raiders. Oh Khorne help me because I had trouble with the normal Eldar :(.

I pretty much had the hang of going against the Eldar up until last year, when my mate mothballed them in favour of his DAngles. It was basically, go Nurgle with Huron and make sure you get the right roll on infiltrating. Otherwise you'd have a bad day.

Not sure what exactly the changes all are, but I'd like to think I could take them again.

Might be nice to see those bikers coming on and doing something other than zipping in last turn and taking an objective.

Just can't see why they came out with a Craftworld codex, when they've already had a reasonably recent codex and Harlies.

Seems a bit CSM Black Legion all over again (Where's my fekin Night Lords or Iron Warriors codex already!!)

I don't care, as I'm lost in Forgeworlds warm comforting 30k embrace, where I don't have to deal with crazy space elf hijinks, or crazy space communist hijinks, or crazy space fungi hijinks, there is only glorious oiled up superhuman on different fragrance oiled up superhuman action. But my wallet is crying....

Brb learning to play.

I look forward to letting Eldar players live out their power fantasies by sweeping my tyranids off the board time and time again. I mean, why wouldn't I be happy about seeing my lords of war pulverized by wraithguards, scatter bikes and shurikens ripping my monstrous creatures apart and my little bugs dying by the droves to inordinate amounts of dakka and pieplates. It'll be so much fun to slog my way to seeming victory only for bikers to swoop in from beyond my firing range and steal the objective on the last turn. Oh and don't forget the Dark Eldar allies!

I imagine my Orks, Guard, Chaos, Space Marines, Necrons, Knights and so on will all feel just as much burning love too.

Oh yes, I am very salty about the prospect of my main army which already struggles against DEldar lists getting another kick in its much abused loins. Maybe the book will give me fewer reasons to be pessimistic but after five years of being crapped on and being thrown the occasional bone I'm not hugely optimistic my Tyranids aren't going to take another shot to the nuts.

I am looking forward to playing against my buddies eldar, we've been playing against eachother since we were 12, so it is all in good fun.

I am not looking forward to playing the eldar players at my FLGS though, they were already very WAAC, and this is only going to make it worse.

I'm going to stomp faces with the new eldar, as I did with the old eldar and then Trollolol when I repeat the % of face stompings with a wholly different army.
