How are the two new Bloodthirsters? Insensant Rage seems pretty iffy. S: D is awesome, but being forced to I1 sucks (massive Initiative is a huge portion of a Bloodthirster's power). Khorne's Wrath seems pretty good, acutally, if for no other reason than he's a direct upgrade to Unfettered Fury (more shooting, an extra attack).
Anyone used them? The model is pretty sick and they definately seem like something that could add to a Daemon army.

I have been using the khornes wrath BT. So far he has been decent, but havent really played enough games with him to deem him good/bad.

The best Bloodthirster variant is the original since it has the best delivery system using blood table summoning or getting it for 60 points with the Kor'lath artifact axe.
Its especially funny when my Lord on a Juggy with the Axe of Kor'lath dies during my opponents turn. This allows my Bloodthirster get right into assault

Chaos Daemons got them first from the white dwarf a week before KhorneKin even came out.
Theirs even get to take demonic rewards

They All feel overcosted.
I can't help but benchmark them against the new wraithknight and cry.
The only build I can imagine working is insensate rage, with a survivability boost to crack open enemy deathstars.
Really need invisibility or grimoire or both.

This QFT. For 20 points more the WK is superior in every way and will take down the Bloodthirster every time. They even brag about it in the White Dwarf. The new BTs should have been gargantuan.

The white dwarf said it was close and the BT has a chance. His Best defense is his WS, They even said the WK had a very close call with death. So it is very possible the BT can kill the WK in CC.

Well the opinion of many Khorne players- myself included- is that the Bloodthirter should be the end all in arguments concerning close combat. It's a daemon created solely for war and close combat, and is mostly outclassed in a few instances it really shouldn't be.

But don't forget that the Eldar's sole purpose is whatever you have, they have it better.
At least the Bloodthirsters have the best ballistic skill in the game, because everybody knows that bloodthirster are master snipers. I hope this wonderful BS is represented in their point cost too.
