The problem with the new codex is not the game breaking potential but the fact that emo ponytail elronds in space dominate the universe game wise, it's a bit embarassing tbh. Id love the next codex after eldar to be two times the cheese just so the eldar stop being best while still retaining their point and click win button daddy's princess noob army status.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

A collosal, terrible, flaming, hysterical train wreck with burning clowns running around spraying it with seltzer bottles while ring masters cry out how everything is fine and we should all come in while the dancing elephants lurch around leaving trails of blood behind them.
How could I look away?

I look at it this way. The last game I can remember winning with Eldar was at the beginning of 6th edition with the 4th edition codex. The main reason I won was due to some lucky rolls. My first game with the new codex will probably be something along the lines of:
1 Farseer, 3 Guardian squads with Bright Lance platforms, Crimson Hunter, Seer Council, Dark Reapers, Vaul's Wrath Support Battery.
I'll probably still lose. Just like my last game, where Pask managed to stun my Crimson Hunter into flying right on top of a Veteran squad where it promptly crashed.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

6-th eldar: Wave serpents are fine because Howling Banshees.
7-th eldar: Wraiths, Knights and bikers are fine because 6-th ed. Howling Banshees.
See, Banshees need a nerf.

Wraithguard are necessary for the game. Eldar need something to counter those nasty underpriced dual CCW Helbrutes.

or Pentitent Engines....................
remember its all fair and balanced - probably even a little unfair on the Eldar -
I mean it must be cos thats what some Eldar Players are saying about it - and they would say if their codex was flat out broke - right?
Yeah i mean some are but they must be mistaken or not read the rules or just play rubbish people - or something. Or just not really Eldar players.

What do you mean you're tabled turn 3 before your meaningful units can even get in range?
You must just play better! Automatically Appended Next Post: The answer to jetbikes is clearly Thousand Sons. Dayum those broken AP3 bolters.

Yeah know - all these people that will keep loosing on purpose just to make the Eldar Codex look bad - its disgusting
nah just use the Eldar Codex regardless of your army
Wraithknight - great big pentient engine
Dire Avengers - Sisters
Swooping Hawks - Serpahim
Dark Reapers - Retributors
Rhino / Immolator- Wave Serpent
Fire Prisim - Exorcist
thats all sounds fine - right. Can't be a problem cos the new codex is obviously "balanced"

I don't need to see this army on the field to tell you it will flat roll people over. Thats cause I know what those stats do and those stats are way better than everyone elses. This isn't a new employee and we can just "see how it goes." This is math. You don't need to keep chugging the same math problem over and over to know it's correct.
