Hey all,

So having recently got into it I am really loving the quick-fire nature of X-Wing games, but unfortunately I struggle to get regular games in my current location as it is not as popular as other systems. I was thinking about having a crack on Vassal, but I was curious to know if anyone here had experienced it and had any insights on whether it is worth it / any pitfalls to avoid, etc.?

Cheers in advance!

What's Vassal?

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Online board game engine, providing you the 'pieces' to play but not the rules.

Does various other games too, like WH40K

I've tried Vassel multiple times... I know people enjoy it, but I can't make it work.

It's fine to get extra games in. Doesn't have the same feel, obviously, but the people have been great so far for me. It's definitely a little clunky to get started, but most people will be willing to show you around your first few games. Here is a good starting point.
