Hey guys,

Basically I have this really cool Nurgle Winged DP conversion idea, (cos nurgle is so much GS fun and converting orks is as simple as pouring glue and bits into mish-mash and filling in gaps)
But I have no in-depth knowledge about Daemons other than a few threads and tactics sites. My current thoughts are;

Nurgle DP - Wings, armour, then just 3 points in Bio for IronArm? oh and balesword ofc.
Pink horrors as troops? - Help bolster my psychic dice and provide some shooting support? - (I also have some of these under conversion already, so pink horror boyz! with flamey wavey hands and screamy faces)

Then?
Plague drones? (thinking deffcoptas with a fleshy feel?)
Beasts of nurgle?

What are your thoughts?
My Ork list is generally quite aggressive with tankbustas and other shooty units like lootas etc. I am assuming the DP will be a fair few points so I will generally trim my orks lists to add more bodies.

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.

I'd go for CSM Nurgle DP simply cause they're AOC with orkses, so no 1-eye open. It's a thing cause there are always lots of orkses running around.

CSM DP can have Black Mace which is a great weapon of mass destruction. The downside is that he has to roll one power on Nurgle which is mediocre at best.

CSM also provide nurgle spawns which are really good even without a character in there.

A bunch of cultists or melta marines in a rhino for troops.

Plague drones will out preform beasts in 9/10 situations. Beasts have random attacks, Drones have stable attacks, and plenty of them. Drones have touch or rust, as well as poison. Drones can jet pack move, drones can take an AP2 weapon, and they can upgrade to be poison +3 (including the ap2 weapon).

Beasts always force disorderly charges I think, so that is nice... against a few units. Drones have defensive grenades, so no bonus attack anyway.

Hmm some good points

Well I could potentially run them as either daemonz or CSM, as they will be Orky-daemonz, So primarily looking orky with a nice big fat daemon mutation.

Plaguedrones do look really nice, Plus playable as potentially deffcoptas in an ork list. I will see how the conversions go. Yeh the beast charge thing looked really nice. I just didn't think CSM was that powerful of a dex. But not having 1 eye open would be a real hand

PLus I've always wanted to do noise marines as orks with boom boxes.

Noise marines are elites. Need a lord to unlock as troops and it's probably going away with the next dex.

CSM have some very effective builds, however, they mostly rely on either psy powers or infiltrate from Huron/Ahriman. Or both. Not that CSM are that bad in the first place. They can actually bring some good stuff for orks. Psy powers, spawns/heldrake, melta.

Anywayz, if you're up for forgeworld, might as well consider a bunch of csm in a dreadklaw. They'll bring something that orks lack.

Can easilly model csm as 'eavy armored boyz or nobz with spikey bits. And a dreadklaw is screaming to become a rokk.

Yeh I want to get some more psy dice! want to bring more weirdboyz too! being able to throw dice at da krunch would be sweeet.
The dreadclaw? is that some sort of drop pod?

You mean like this??

HAH awesome as always! Think you're obliged to run them as csm now!

Yep a dreadkclaw is a form of a droppod. It also arrives turn one but has no DS mitigation. The thing with it is that it doesn't need to necesserely open it's doors, and is a fast skimmer. Means you can deepstrike in, than if you're not happy with your final position, can opt to flat-out and than just disembark guyz next turn. Can jink.

It's also really good for amellee-oriented unit as they would be able to assault turn 2. So, Blood for Khornk! Or probably Mkhornk.

Oh that would be cool i'd love to put typhus and some zombies inside! i'll have to have a look at its transport capacity
Think i'll go have a poke around on the web

Hmm the claw seems pretty cool, I think i'd probably covert it so it was literally a claw or a Rock as you said

Still a little up in arms with what i'd put inside it. Some chosen with melta? Just seems quite expensive for a click delete unit. Admittedly it would be there opening up a transport as my boyz rushed in for the kill. But if I get out turn 1 to pop something then I won't be able to charge and will likely get mowed down. No idea how expensive chosen are, but what 100 pts? so a total of 200 pts?

If I wait till turn two to open a transport so I can assault whats inside then that doesn't really benefit my boyz as they would have to charge the same target, which seems overkill?

Maybe a unit of havocs, land the pod further away on an objective and then use the havocs to open up some side armour?

How would you utilise the claw in an Ork army?
