Hey don't pick on my Kazon
These all look like great releases to me. Scorpions will rock and the Hathaway should be a lot of fun. I really hope we get a better captain Riker. Great opportunity for another Worf crew Though WK should keep Wesley out of the game, just like Pete Rose

The only problem is fitting the scorpions into a fleet. With the smallest ship capable of carrying them being a Valdore or D'deridex, it'll be hard to field the numbers which Fed or Dom players can manage

I doubt it and I hope not, that'll make them broken. 4 defence dice on the first stack, maybe 7 dice for the last one!?
I can see these getting 1 defence die at their starting value though, probably less firepower?

I agree cloaking combined with fighters is a bit strong, but they did give us the Borg so who knows.

After the Fighter Fiasco last time (FAQ's, restrictions on taking them, etc.), I'm really surprised they are coming out with more. I wonder if they will have a new "Additional Rules" card?

I wouldn't call it an"Fiasco". Despite the FAQ fighters have become really popular. There are some nasty builds you make around them, especially given MU admiral Worf. Though I personally think their proliferation is just as bad for the game as unrestricted Borg. I would like to see them move back to one base per fleet or full 100 points.

Indeed, while it's great to see more factions getting them, it's a clumsy way to deal with meta.

Scorpions are a good addition. Really hoping we see more factions get fighters - as a fan of the Vulcans in AW I'm hoping we see their (canon) fighters introduced at some point too.

What does that leave? You could probably justify a Kazon fighter, but I guess that's being used for the Raider?:

The Kazon had fighters. They look like miniature Raiders. Automatically Appended Next Post:

It was a fiasco in that as soon as they were released, we saw errata and several WORF rulings. Point for point, fighters are the best ships in the game. No other "ship" can take as much damage as a fighter stack. They have fantastic maneuverability and speed, and the range limitation isn't really that much of an issue. They have a fantastic mechanic in that they have a lot of punch at first, and as they lose stacks, they become better defensively while losing that attack power. They have great upgrades.
So yeah, it's not surprising that a lot of people take them. They are great Borg hunters- let that Borg throw 6+ attack dice. No matter how much damage it does, it's only one stack. If your opponent brings a "Screw your Upgrades/Crew" build, the fighters will ignore it.
The fighters are the single biggest game changer in STAW (if you ignore the Borg).

Fiasco is too strong of a word for the situation, a logical hiccup is more like it. They had to think of something, unrestricted fighters would have been 10 times worse than the Borg. In 120 points fleets of 6 fighter squadrons would be insane
