Hey there! How well are you guys doing with your Skitarii/Daemonkin armies?

Eldar players seem to be overjoyed so I'm assuming they're doing pretty well with the new units and dex

Probably the best player in our store runs Khorne Demonkin and he actually trounced really powerful Eldar list just last night. BTW, D weapons being scary is being completely exaggerated, they pack a punch but not nearly the boogeyman people are making them out to be.

And once Skitarri players start doing the silly Imperial Army shenanigans with battle brotherswe will see them and drop pods with rapid fire haywire rifles and three shot plasma guns...

Considering Daemonkin doesn't run many vehicles, I'm not exactly surprised.

Of course MC's and such are boned, but eh.

Trying to figure out how it got into Melee range, unless the Wraithknight took the S melee weapon and lost?

He had the D cannons and did do a little bit of damage to it, however he was able to tie it up with some Raptors helping it get closer.

Still rather hard to see though myself, what with the Skulls WS4, but I suppose dice rolls can be beneficial at times.

I'm amazed more people aren't raving about skitarii, although I suppose they have been kinda overshadowed by the new Eldar codex :/

They have some seriously pretty toys, and drop pods/3x plasma caliver or arc rifle at bs7 is disgusting. so far they seem very fun to play, nicely balanced and reasonably all rounded, although only time will tell if it stays like this.

They are also T3/4+/6+ And plasma Caliver is increasing their cost by 3X. So it's not like it's a cheap strategy that will shake the foundations, not to mention it's just a slightly better version of Sternplasma so it's not exactly a drastic change to deal with either.

Pretty toys, but not exactly Scatlasers.

Not saying they are, but I have seen so little about them it's pretty surprising. As an army, they are certainly nothing to sniff at, and I fully expect to see some at tournies with some allies dirtiness. One of the best GW codexes yet, interesting and new, while able to hold its own without being OP.

There was some discussion on it for the while, but everyone is now in "How do I deal with something that can quite proper my army over no matter what I bring". It's like Fantasy Daemons level of panic.

Are they really that bad? I haven't been able to get a proper look at the codex.

I just got ahold of the Skitarii codex and a turn of BS7 S10 AP1 blasts looks pretty cool.

Plus that Dunestrider Rule, +3 inches to movement, running and charging? 9 inch movement (minimum) and a guaranteed 5 inch charge is nothing to laugh at. Bet it makes Daemons of Slaanesh a bit jealous. Army wide Relentless is pretty sweet too.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Mephiston will butcher the WraithKnight as well.
