Kyana Prime time ship.

I'll try and do a write up on this ship later, but the biggest surprise to me? Mirror Universe faction... oh boy!

The ship itself is pretty cool. I like the ability, roll 3 defense dice, for each evade add an evade token besidenthe ship. That is actually goood for a big ship that doesn't have an evade action.

Annorax doesn't have a great ability, but he is another skill 8 for independents. They are looking really good for high skill capains now. He is also dual faction so he gives MU their first captain above skill 7. Not much to complain about there.


Ignoring shields and being able to fire from fron and rear arcs I can see Chroniton Torpedoes being good on the maquis raider or Tholian ships.

Temporal Core is interesting, but expensive. Big saving grace is it's reusable.

Spacial Distortion is the same as the Borg and 8472 Quantum Singularity. Can be very useful on a larger ship.


I see most of this pack being greatnfor scenario play but too expensive for OPs. Still looks like a fun ship, can't wait.

Agreed, it's very interesting. Mu is used for all alternate timelines, remember!

They're 12 points before modifiers on anything other than a Krenim weapon ship though!

This day gets better, the Hood preview is up, and Riker is cheaper and better than Tom Paris.

Well, how about this: Tom Paris AND William T. Riker on the same ship? Maybe throw on Elizabeth Shelby too? Let's break that down:
"Angry/Capt. Ahab" Picard (skill 8, 5 pts), William T. Riker, and Tom Paris. Each time you defend against Picards' chosen faction, you get +3 defense dice, +1 evade token for 1 [Battlestations]. That's just a quick and dirty upgrade right there. Take a Valdore or Scimitar, add Officer Exchange Program: Federation, and what's that? 9 Defense dice + 1 [evade] while cloaked? LOL

That systems upgrade? 2 points for +1 shield and does not take up a slot? AWESOME!

Type 8 Phaser Array- +1 primary attack die, 2 points, can only be placed on a ship with hull 3 or less- will probably be on every ship with hull value of 3 or less.

The Hood is an AWESOME pack! I'll probably end up buying 2-3 of them for the upgrade cards.

All my klingon B'Rel/Klingon Bird of Prey's will be running around with that phaser refit (3 points for +1 attack die...) so those Birds will be throwing 5 attack dice. Schwing!

Oh oh oh! Bird of Prey + Type 8 Phaser Array and another Bird of Prey + Barrage of Fire- that's throwing 9 attack dice at range 1-2! Possible 10 dice at range 1! Throw in Drex, Martok, and Gowron and you're throwing 11 (12) attack dice! With conversions and a reroll!

I think I just found my new favorite fleet...

Tamwulf - The Hood was never on Startrek.com, it has been spoiled by retailers with OP kits.

BTW Type 8 phaser array is for ships with primary weapon value 3 or less, not hull
So your B'rels can't benefit from it....

The systems upgrade does take up a slot, it can just be any upgrade slot you want.

the old eyes missed that in the tiny print. They used to given us much better pics. Now there isn't even the temptation to buy multiples, one will be enough

Not really bothered by the time ship, but the Hood looks good. Might have to go Borg for that OP, just to make sure I win one.
I hope they don't return to the OP prizes being too good, much prefer it when they are "fun" but not must haves.

the time ship doesn't interest me at all. i doubt i'll se much of it.

our group just ordered more hoods, i hope we get them

I'm pretty sure I'll get the time ship, more because it's MU and Independent.

It's not a bad ship at all- though the maneuver dial will either make it awesome Romulan Scimitar like, or / vomit Dominion Battleship.

Great cards for the ship, not so much other ships. It *might* replace my MU Enterprise as the flagship of my MU fleet.
