Hiya guys, After my last tounry I came in 2nd place (to someone who missed the first round and was given a bye >.< ) I ran my lady and the Tramps list, and it did well..but everyone has seen it so much are getting used to it. I want to change up things,so I decided to give some ships I have never played before some attention. So here we go!
List A: Horn&Horn Attorney at law
Corran Horn
Push the limit
R2D2
Enhanced scopes
Engine Upgrade
((I set him up this way so i could fly him with a better forgiving for my horrible flying lol)
Horton Salm
Blaster turret
BTL A4
((Basic Gunboat, needing him at range 2,could be a problem but I like the ability)
Z-95
Z-95
LIST B Two fast Two Furious
Corran Horn
Push the limit
R2D2
Enahnced scopes
Engine Upgrade
Tycho Celchu
Vetern Instincts
Chardaan Refit
A wing Test Pilot
Swarm Tactics
Z-95
Z-95
I like the second list more. But what do you folks think.

I like the 2nd one better as well, although I doubt you'll win very much with 2 Zs and an Awing as backup. I've never seen an awing do anything except be annoying, even tycho's ability doesn't make him too much of a threat offensively. The way you have him set up he'll get killed whenever the opponent cares to due something about it. He really needs ptl to make use of his ability
For list one, I'd probably just take a gold squadron using with R2 for green maneuvers and blaster turret over Horton, I don't see his ability doing much with a range 2 turret

Tbh I'm not a fan of either list because they both have some very sub par upgrades. Enhanced Scopes is a terrible upgrade, particularly for an agility based supership like Corran. You want to be able to move last because then you can react to peoples placement and dodge arcs. It also has anti synergy with Engine Upgrade (which is great on Corran) - if you move first you have no idea where you should boost to. Trade Enhanced Scopes for Fire Control and both lists suddenly become much better - that loadout on Corran mean he can carry the list for you. If you are worried about flying him badly then you are better off not flying him at all - just run Biggs + B's etc which don't have a major lynchpin in the list.
The upgrades you have on Tycho don't make much sense - his ability means that he can stack up stress without any downside but you have no stress generating abilities on him. Swarm Tactics is a situational upgrade for Rebels - I don't feel like it is worth using it to boost the PS of Z's. Either way its a terrible upgrade for an A-wing, again they are agility ships (even moreso than an E-Wing) which want to be flanking and arc dodging where possible - definitely not a ship you want flying in formation.

Here's a list I've been having a lot of success with, if you like Corran:
Corran + PTL + R2-D2 + FCS + engine (48)
Gold y-wing + R3-A2 + ion turret + A4 + seismic charge (27)
Biggs (25)
The y-wing breaks up formations and prevents them from focusing fire on Corran early (use split deployments and flank with Corran), Biggs keeps the y-wing alive while adding a 3-dice gun, and Corran is the endgame god that cleans up whatever is left.

This. Corran is great, but a big part of why he's such a powerful endgame threat is his ability to boost/BR at PS 8. Permanently forcing him to move at PS 0 throws away this huge advantage and is worse than leaving that slot empty. It needs to be either FCS or advanced sensors.

And this. The a-wing title card exists so that once you've paid your 3-point tax for mandatory PTL you still have an EPT slot available. You absolutely must put PTL on every a-wing that isn't a 15-point prototype, and Tycho is no exception. You probably also want proton rockets to make him a much scarier threat that your opponent can't safely ignore while they kill Corran.

A real quick update, Played this today vs a Han and leebo list. Leebo was eaten alive in turn 2. Han in turn 5.
I gave Horn
VI
R2D2
Engine
(I know I need FCS But I did not have the points. I understand what it does which is amazing, But I also like having that second z-95 to help out)
Tycho
Expert handling
Charadaan refit
A-wing pilot
Autothrusters
Push the limit
z-95
z-95

If you want a ridiculously agile Tycho, consider Daredevil instead of Expert Handling. A J-turning A-wing is amusing to watch.

I ran this last night, Holy cow is this great! I was in my opponents face all night long. I like this list alot, However I am going to drop autothrusters I think as I play Tyco very agressive, and 85% of the time he was behind his target's firing arc,and well within range 1. Perhaps something with a target lock or such.
Horn however..i flew Horribly.. No he did not die, and cleaned up Both matches in the end. But I need to figure out how to get him inside easier. Those soft 2 turns, are just killing me. I was thinking of dropping PTL and using daredevil, But then i realize..i need ptl lol. I run him with the following...
PTL
Engine Upgrade
R2D2
I have only played 3 matches with him now, but..All three he was one of the last ships left, with full health..and blasting away my opponent. I'm thinking it's just my flying.

Autothrusters is primarily a turret counter. You take it even though it's a marginally-useful upgrade against "normal" ships because it's worth its weight in gold against turrets. Without autothrusters you have very little hope of keeping Tycho (or Fel) alive against a turret, especially if they have gunner. With autothrusters your chances of survival go up significantly, and it becomes pretty hard to kill Tycho unless the turret ship can somehow get him into its arc (something that requires the turret player to completely change how they fly their ships).
