Dakka,

I intend to sell my guard army. I need some help pricing the army. I also have some other general questions.'

1) If you were going to sell an army, would you sell it piece mail or as one package?
2) If you were going to sell an army, would you expect to get a better price if the army were painted to mid to high table top standard?
3) What would you pay for the following:

(Assume mid to high table top quality painting)

(2) Lord Commissars
(1) Regimental Advisers squad
(1) Cadian Command Squad
(1) Marbo
(70) Cadian Shock Troops
(11) Cardian Heavy Weapon Teams
(6) Cardian With Plasma Gun and Meltagun
(1) Catachan Demolition Team
(3) Chimeras
(2) Vendettas
(2) Custom Artillery
(1) Leman Russ Battle Tank
(1) Leman uss Demolisher
Manticore 1

Dear Games Workshop,

Paper is totally over powered! I can't believe how badly you guys screwed up. Why can't you make armies balanced, like Scissors? I quit!

1) If you were going to sell an army, would you sell it piece mail or as one package? You'll get more money selling it off by pieces. It's also a bigger pain in the ass to ship.

2) If you were going to sell an army, would you expect to get a better price if the army were painted to mid to high table top standard? No. Unless it's painted at a better than tabletop standard, you're not going to get more than retail.

3) What would you pay for the following: Maybe 60% of full retail cost, whatever that may be

1) If you were going to sell an army, would you sell it piece mail or as one package?

Pieces. Squads at most. Chances are if someone wants an army, they will want to assemble it themselves. They'll be on the hunt for bits, not lots where they only want 2/3 of the offered bits.

2) If you were going to sell an army, would you expect to get a better price if the army were painted to mid to high table top standard?
No. there's virtually no difference in sales price between primed black and tabletop standard. it'd go so far as to say if you can do it well, strip your metals.

3) What would you pay for the following:
Did you keep the options for the vehicles that you didn't use on them? That will make a difference. Otherwise as cincydooley said, about 2/3 to 1/2 retail.
Lower end on anything that had optional builds that you chose one for.

Depends - I would think if you sell it piece meal, it will move faster but you may end up with stuff nobody wants. Also, if I buy stuff piecemeal, I don't care how well its painted because it will not match my paint scheme so I'm going to strip it and repaint.
