Now after you pick up your jaw off your keyboard at how bad of a model this is. Think of the impact this has on the game. Re-rolling the Daemonic instability test is huge. Sadly its only limited to 30k
As a daemon player im very excited to see the new rules. Its a huge kick in the pants the daemons needed. But the model sucks so hard. not to mention it looks like it was assembled in 10 min and wasnt green stuffed - filed correctly. Personally I like my Ifrit as a count as;

He only rerolls demonic instability and gives you warp surge results on doubles (which is +1 invul, not a free unit) if you are playing 30k. I have no idea where you are getting the endless horde of daemons from because he does nothing to support that.
He is also very fragile. T7 and 6W is good but he only has a 5++ for a save. T7 is functionally Av11 so he is basically two rhinos strapped together for durability, which means he's not durable. Most armies have enough shooting to down that in a single turn and he costs the same as an Imperial Knight. This combined with the fact he has to deep strike in so will spend at least 1 turn being a sitting duck means he is basically unplayable.

I like him for a Daemonkin and a themed 30k list.
Increasing the warp charge of friendly blessings means I would not touch him in a psyker heavy list.

Youre missing the Armourbane section of his rules. It has It will not die, so.....ew. Plus it has to ability to stop your reserves. Do you remember how annoying 4+ reserve rolls were in 5th ed?
Not to mention fear. Half their LD. Im saying this guy can be nasty just fearing MC left and right and anything else not stubborn or fearless.
hes I9 with 5 armourbane attacks.
If a knight and this guy went toe to toe, he might win. Maybe. banking on some invuln saves but those with cursed earth.....com'on thats something players will be doing

The penalty to reserves and psycher debuffs are very nice.
I love that he can mess with ongoing reserves, that's unique!
His fragility is the biggest problem, deepstrike with the potential for homing beacons in the enemy deployment zone helps. Really you want to tie up the enemy armyies shooting with stuff like hounds before this guy comes in.
As ever, stuff like grimoire/ legacy of armageddon work, but he makes invisibility and cursed earth harder to pull off!
Even then, its a stiff price ;-|

All of those require him to get to combat which he won't do. He will be dead before he get's a chance to assault or roll IWND and is too slow to reliable get to assault. You can't even depend of blessings like Cursed Earth or Invis because he makes them harder to cast by increasing they're warp charge cost by 1.
-1 Reserves is solid be is completely match up dependant. Most lists that actually rely on reserves will have reserves fixing like comms relay to make the -1 a moot point. And it's easy to play around it by just deploying everything.

To bad the good ability requires you to play 30k.

The FW authors are keen on internal balance.. and know that a legion list would smash a straight up daemon list without some balancer. I would have expected the ruinstorm ability to apply to all 30k daemon armies (and perhaps it will come book 5)
I think for this to be remotely competative in 40k, it needs a points drop or upgrade to gargantuan.

Once again another useless Khorne model...
Tzeentch and Slaanesh has always dominated competitive Daemon meta since 5th ed.

You all are too negative, what is this, Whineseer? :p
In all seriousness, the +1 warp charge isn't ad bad as it seems because you generally throw 2+ extra warp charges into scary powers such as invisibility/cursed earth/invisibility, and as a LoW he fills a slot daemons are sorely lacking in. For 375 points he's at least worth trying before dismissing him.
