Hi guys,
got a quick question. Me and my buddies are playing 40k with the 6th edition rules. But I can't find the rule which says that a fast moving skimmer only suffers glancing hits.
Is this the case? If yes, on which page in the 6th edition BRB can I find the rule?

That was never a rule. Maybe you are thinking of a Wave Serpant's serpent shield?

Hm, ok if there was never a rule for it, it would explain why I couldn't find it.
I was just wondering because the flyer rules suggest such a rule (...counting the flyer as a fast moving skimmer (ie, all hits are glancing)).

Where did you find this rule? If it's in the special rules from a unit entry, then it means that it's a 5th edition rule. The 6th edition FAQs told us to ignore these and just use the rules found in the rulebook instead.

I've found it in the imperial armour a way back in the book. I don't have it right here, but when I'm back home I'll post the exact page.

Actually SMF (Skimmer moving fast) was a rule from 4th edition, counting all pens as glances instead.

I think that's a fourth edition rule, maybe fifth.

Absolutely it was a 4th edition rule. Its one that Eldar flying circus made extensive use of.

Ok, so the rule doesn't apply anymore.
Thank you very much, you guys helped a lot. :-)
I thought I had found a way to make my devilfish and hammerheads stay longer operational.
