Looks pretty good. But some of your expenditures look like they might be better...

Regen is seldom worth the points, Old Adversary/ Prefered Enemy, or Hive Commander is often a better choice. And if your running Leviathan Fighter Ace is pretty dang nice as well.

I don't see a Tervigon, so a block of x30 Termagants looks unneeded.

I think I would replace them with two small Broods of Horagaunts who will then screen for your Big Bugs. Dropping Regen can free up points as well.

I like to form what I call a "Bug Star" of a Big Bug, a Synapse, a Veno, and a screen. So you would have one Bug Star with the Tyrannofex, and the other with the Dakkafex Brood. That gives you two major threats on the Ground, and three in the air. Add in the Mawloc and you have a decent "maximum threat overload" effect. You can swap the Zoey in for one Warrior Brood if you want, the Warriors can camp on an objective, and snipe with their cannon.

If you have enough points handy, I'd look at grabbing one more Troop, Rippers with Tunneling for making a grab at a Objective, or Line Breaker or the like. If you swap in the Zoey, I would pair it with the Tyrannofex so you have good AV available to each "Bug Star".

Good luck, and good hunting!

What is fighter ace and would it be better to swap regen for it? So would I be right in saying that a 'bug star' would look like this. Dakkafex, warriors, venomthrope and gaunts?

Yep it is in the Shield of Baal (?) Book, that has all the Leviathan formations. Big Bug (Brood of Dakkafexen for example)) Synapse (Warriors for example) Shrouding (Veno, Malanthrope) and a screen( Hormagaunts work best for me).

The screen provides a cover save to the support, and the Big Bug (3+), and the screen gets a save of (5+) from the Shrouding. The target priority is the Synapse, and/or the Veno, or the Big Bug, so the screen is often untouched until you reach charge range. Warriors provide a Pinning Blast, Zoeys provide Warp Blast/ Lance and powers of the Hive Mind! It all works together, and if you run a regular CAD it contains two Objective Secured (if you run Warriors)

It provides a very tough puzzle for your foe, and you have multiple threats coming at them from several directions.

Late entry: So Bug Star 1) Tyrannofex, Acid, Thorax (Electro) Adrenal 200, Zoanthrope, Veno, Hormagaunt Brood x12+....355? points
Bug Star 2) Dakkafexen Brood (300), Warrior Brood (100), Veno, Hormagaunt Brood, x12+ ....505? points (355 if single Dakkafex)

If you don't like Mawloc, you can drop it, add more Gribblies and get most of a third Bug Star (no Shrouding ) Lots of options, and you can build them on the table, with some idea of what you're facing.

Or if durability is an issue in your "meta" drop the second Dakkafex, and double out each Brood of 'Thropes.

It's an upgrade, you roll on a table, 3-4 get an extra Wound, 5-6 you can fly off the Table if you are within 18"( of the Edge) as a reaction to being shot at. It's Crazy good! I believe the 1-2 is +6" Synapse so it is a good take for your Warlord. But you'd need a copy of the rule to use it most likely, so you'd want to bring a copy with you for a Tourney.

If not Old Adversary/Prefered Enemy give a serious boost to a Tyrants fighting ability, or save the points and buy more figures.

Looks interesting. Couple of questions though, what is the Hive Tyrants function? And, you're over on points, so you need to trim 20. Combining those two issues, you could drop the Walking Tyrant, and have 175 points left (?) Then you would be running a regular CAD, and that give Objective Secured to your Troops, you lose re-rolls for IB but that's not a bad trade off. Lots of things you can spend 175 on.

If you keep the Tyrant, I'm guessing you'll toss it into one of your "Bug Stars" and it should do just fine with a good cover save. But trimming 20 will be hard because your gaunts are already at minimum size.

Fighter ace is in the Leviathan book.

is this a dual CAD or CAD+AD or formation tossed? or just an unbound list with 3 HQ?

UK

Hive Fleet Detachment w/ Bioblast Node Formation

List looks good aside the lone Hive Tyrant. Would remove for some Gargoyles/Hormagaunts if you're looking to play Maelstrom. If EW, then a Harpy or Hive Crone would be good investments.

Hive tyrant was meant to be a flyrant but not enough points so I made it basic as even a basic hive tyrant will prove troublesome. It can be screened by gaunts and stay in range on a venomthrope. I could drop zoanthrope?

I always hate to lose a Zoey, but a Walk'rant is perfectly able to replace it. But without Tyrant Guard it is doomed to die. If you plan on that it's not so bad though. At least you know where all the fire is going until it dies. As I noted above, I'd ditch it, and spend the points elsewhere. But that is "style" as much as anything.

With two HQ, you can convert from Leviathan to standard CAD, and pick up Objective Secured instead of re-rolls on IB. I like OS Troops, so I would do that without hesitation.

If you drop a Zoey you have a few points left for a Heavy Cannon on the Tyrant, and that might help make it more useful, or Bone sabres?

If you roll Master of Ambush, you can put the Tyrant and some support right up close to your Foe, and that might come in handy. (mostly as a bullet magnet, but that can blunt an Alpha or Beta strike )

Looks nice, but are you doubling out the Venos? Otherwise you'd have 4 Elite slots...? I think you'll get better results from having two Veno Broods, move one forward, park the second to bodyguard the LAN.
