Possibly. As mentioned above, they had a 1% chance to be Psykers in RT.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Seems like Ogryn worlds wouldn't be exempt from the screening of normal Imperium worlds. I would reason that Ogryn Psykers are possible, but probably put to death. Too much mutation in one vessel.

Thats a pretty good theory and explanation for anything even if it breaks with the 1% rule.

Keep in mind that the 1% chance of an Ogryn psyker in Rogue Trader is 1% of all Ogryn player characters, not 1% of the entire Ogryn population.

Player characters in any system are extraordinary individuals who stand out from the unwashed masses. The prevalence of the Psyker gene in the general Ogryn population is probably much lower.

That, and the fact that 1% is more or less the bottom practical limit of probability in a face to face roleplaying game. Given standard polyhedral dice commonly available, having a probability smaller than one in a hundred isn't worth the effort for most game designers.

My two cents.

Thats also a good and lousy point. That so many slipped through the mind-stuff makes it a bad point, but on the other hand, they could be latent, which makes your point really good. Bottomline, I like the speculation the 1% rule has brought. I must say I in general like your line of thought.

... I'm the one who originally mentioned the rule to you, in a previous post ITT. You apparently overlooked it.

I never said Psyker Ogryns were impossible, I said they were an incredibly bad idea for all involved.
