So one of the biggest drawbacks of the Blood Angels tanks, especially the Baal Predator, is their inability to get their close range tanks into position to use their weapons effectively before they get blown up. In 5E, the Baal Predator had the Scout ability to mitigate this problem. What I am proposing is a Formation Detachment that grants Scout to a few tanks in the formation that have Overcharged Engines. This is how I picture it:

Formation:
Choose any three of the following tanks:
Baal Predator
Predator
Razorback
Vindicator
Whirlwind

Restrictions:
All tanks must have the Overcharged Engines ability. Baal Predator and Predator tanks must have purchased sponsons.

Special Rules:

Precision Insertion: All tanks in this formation gain the Scout ability.

Nope, there is a second proposed Formation Detachment that lets you give Deep Strike back to Land Raiders. They would gain the benefit of Descent of Angels if a Warlord in the Primary Detachment has it. Because Blood Angels are all about throwing stuff out of Thunderhawks directly into combat.

I think it is more important that the Baal Predator gains the Scout ability than the other tanks. Giving it to Vindicators might be a little broken since they could get their Demolisher Cannon off turn one. I made the following changes to the formation I initially thought up.

Formation:
1-3 Baal Predators

Restrictions:
All Baal Predators must have sponson-mounted weapons.

Special Rules:

Precision Insertion: All tanks in this formation gain the Scout ability.

Expert Flamethrowers: Any template weapons used by tanks in this formation gain the Torrent ability.


I also want to make a formation that allows Land Raiders to Deep Strike again. Just because it was a hilarious ability. What would need to be done to make said formation viable, but also not broken.
