I have an Idea for a type of rule for narrative and map based campaigns. So, lets say the are taking an area from the . For this gametype must have 12 gretchins. They must stay in one area for one turn to build a structure. The player must have up to 6 structures in reserve. If the gretchins before the turn is over, the structure is destroyed. This goes the same for all races. For example: = (servitors) =drones ect ect. You get the idea. So, does it work? Tell me in the comments if it works or if it needs to be ?

Just to clear up, the gretchins are tekkies.

I'm not clear on what you're saying. Are you suggesting rules for building structures up in the middle of a game using "worker" units like in an RTS? Or are you suggesting between battles in a narrative campaign you build up structures in an area?

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

Both.

Its kind of like, exceedingly easy to kill a foot slogging unit of Gretchin or their equivalents in this game. Especially against IG who can toss out barrage pie plates on the slightest whim.

Trying to keep a bunch of them alive while they build some structure would be pretty much impossible unless a) they were immune to barrage in some manner and b) there was a lot of LoSB terrain on the board. Like a *lot*

I suppose you could make them immune to all shooting. Actually takes *some* skill to get a unit into contact with the builders rather than just erase them from 48" away
