Welcome to Dakka

Looks good, but the paint is a little thick. Dilute it with some water and you should be fine.

To post images on Dakka just have have sure you have [*img][*/img] around the image link, minus the *

I'll be sure to add more water,i'm assuming it will probably go on a lot easier if its watered down as well right?

It will go on smoother, there is less chance of brush strokes, less chance of obscuring details, and as you develop your skills you can work on more advance techniques.

Some Tau stuff is the perfect place for a beginner to start. Especially with all those clean lines and flat surfaces. But also don't be afraid to paint other models that you like. That's a good way to push your skills.

A wonderful start! I do recommend going over the areas where the wash made the white panels blotchy; just a gentle recoat of the flat areas will clean things up. These definitely represent a solid tabletop standard as-is; you've filled everything out crisply and I really like your color scheme. Once you feel ready to learn some new techniques, I recommend starting with a few edge highlights, where you highlight all the edges and corners with lighter colors to make the details "pop" more. I wouldn't worry about it for now, though, especially if you have an entire army to finish.

Welcome to 40k!
