I had some questions related to Khorne Daemonkin; they may be obvious or have been asked before, if so I apologize.

1) If an enemy unit fails a morale check and runs off the table due to an attack by a unit with BFTBG, do I get a Blood Tithe point?

2) If the enemy has Preferred Enemy for either CSM or Chaos Daemons, does it affect Daemonkin at all, or only those specific codexes?

3) The codex says that if a unit or character with BFTBG dies, you get a blood point. Is it therefore 2 blood points if an independent character dies (since he is an HQ unit and a character)? Does it matter if he is joined with a unit (i.e. Lord on Juggernaut with flesh hounds)?

Thanks in advance for answering!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

1. No. The unit was not destroyed by the unit with bftbg. It "counts as" destroyed because it left the table

2. Also no. This may be faq'd in the future but because you have the khorne daemonkin faction, your opponent doesn't get preferred enemy "chaos marines".
There are a lot of players that allow it still. But it is not RAW

3. An independent character will net you 1 tithe point. If he is joined to a unit and the unit and character die, you get one for each

"If you wait a few months, they'll pick one of the worst codexes and they'll nerf almost everything, its an abstract sort of balance, but it's the sort of balance gw likes... "

1) Possibly. The only similar ruling was 5th ed PtP which, from memory, did NOT allow the pain token in this instance

2) No, but pretty stupid. Dont expect a FAQ

3) An IC is a unit, and a character. While the SftST rule is probably meant to have been written such that you only get a tithe point if your character dies IN a challenge, as currently written a character dying for any reason nets 1 point, and if they are an IC then a unit has died, so you get another point.

1) Possibly not as the Daemonkin unit didn't directly destroy the unit.

2) I think they'd still get it against CSM (the unit type) from the Daemonkin codex but otherwise RAW says no. HIWPI, I'd allow it against any unit type that has an equivalent entry in the CSM codex.

3) Exactly right, 2 points for an IC. One for being a character and one for being a unit in itself. In your example, if the lord and hounds were completely wiped out you'd also get an extra point for the hound unit - so 3 in total.

Why would you get a tithe point if there was a character in the falling back unit that was removed? If it doesn't count as the BftBG unit destroying the falling back unit itself, why would it count for the character?

Quite right, my mistake here. I was thinking of a BftBG unit falling back for some reason on this point. Edited.
