I have. He looks like my type of champion.
I don't like the hump, but the mask and the gun looks cool

I agree, it feels very out of place.

Rioters described him as being the first champ some of them really had to step back from because he was getting too creepy, but if you mix Handsome Jack and Sander Cohen, what else do you expect?

(I would myself but I don't have an NA account and don't have plans to make one as I'm sure ping would be a big issue, plus getting to lv30 once was a drag )

If people on NA are up for it, I'll create a Dakka group.

Jhin, the new crafting/crate system, and the season 6 balances are up on the PBE and I'm loving it. He really plays like an AD Xerath.

I might like him then.
Xerath is one of my favorite mid laners.

I'll try to play him on the PBE some time.

Crafting is okay (really nothing major). Spending money will always be easier if you want a skin/champion.

4 chests max per month. 1 chest per champion per season. You get that champion's chest in a game if anybody in your game got an S score.

Its a good concept, but its still easier to buy stuff.
Then again, you can potentially get a free skin.

You can have a maximum of 4 chests per month.
Each chest is associated with a certain champion. You can only get 1 chest per champion per season.

You only get a chest if you or your team mates win a game with an S ranking.
You may only open a chest if you have a key. One third of a key will be randomly awarded on a winning game.

A chest may contain a champion shard or cosmetic shard. You can turn the shards into a new, unlocked champion or skin by sacrificing enough shards to turn into essence. This essence is combined with a shard of your choice to get something for free.

So basically, git gud.

Wow I hadn't appreciated how hard it was to get chests, and here's me thinking it wouldn't be too hard, how often do the key shards drop? If it isn't that often then I can't see many people earning more than s couple of champs/skins a year.

I don't know the algorithm, sadly.
Random is random.

So when's ranked? Still need practice or what? Apparently this season is much harder; blokes that were in diamond got booted down to silver, according to one player I know.

That happens every season at the beginning, nothing new. Just the ELO Crunch because you can only be placed so high in ranking from Placement Matches, which means Plat/Diamond/Masters all got moved down to Plat. It just means that you will have to climb the ladder and earn your spot instead of having it all season.

Ranked started January 20th.

I don't know about the others but I played one ranked game yesterday and instantly remembered why I hated it, maybe in time I'll give it a go but for now I'm happy playing normals as a group, what with ranked teams being disabled now.

Every season, there's a moderate MMR reset (the score that is tracked by how well you do against people better/worse than you) and it was harsher this season, because through Gold, if you fail a promo series, you get a free win on your next attempt and dynamic queue makes it a bit easier to climb as well.

I'm loving playing ranked with friends where we all hop on skype/curse and play together while climbing, plus it's fun to do troll comps in ranked (Heimerdinger/Tahm Kench ADC or an all-ADC comp) and win while laughing our heads off.

I did get to play against Jhin as MF. Kicked his ass

I've been doing Jungle Jhin and (besides getting chat restricted for making Jhin puns) he's quite fun. His Q makes clearing camps super easy and you can use your W from the river to root the enemy ADC and score some easy kills/assists. Way too many people are failing his ult though.

The next champ is supposedly a simple mage to coincide with the mage reworks and then Taric is getting re-released!

Taric first and then the mages.

I am hoping the next champ is Ao Shin(finally, but I know it wont be)

I'm still waiting for the urgot rework.
He is good in the top lane, but he is still pretty weak in bot lane, where he is meant to be.

He works well in Mid lane right now with the current set of Keystone Masteries.

I have been waiting on a Malzahar update forever and he is finally getting one in the Mage Update. I am so excite!

Finally tried him bot with a team that's not incompetent.
He's really good. He's easy to kill, he's slow, but let him farm and get some items, and he will kill most targets in 2-3 shots.

The trick to dealing with him is to be aggressive; the vayne and blitz I was laning against were too passive, and that gave me time to gear up.

still no hextech crafting, I would have thought we would have it by now, anyone know when it's due to be released as I don't remember at all, heck I even forgot hextech crafting was coming it's been so long since we've heard anything about it.

I thought it had. Pulled what might have been my best game ever and got 27/2 with a S+ rank but no hextech thingy.

Hextech is still on the PTR as far as I know. Here is a Reddit post talking about it a little bit. It gives some helpful information about how it is going to work.

so what are everybody's thoughts on the new champ, I think he looks pretty good and I'm really looking forward to having a go with him. I kinda hope he's viable as a support as I think his passive will be pretty useful in bot lane, maybe more so there than mid.

I think he's pretty awesome.
I'm going to run him with Deathfire. Everyone seems to like thunderlords, but deathfire would work better on him due to his passive.
What I found is that death fire works best with the following :

- DoT effects
- Poking
- AD champions who use single target damaging spells extensively
- Constant damage (like DoT)

TLD works better for combo champions, who do their thing, and then retreat while their CDs count down.

he is pretty awesome isn't he, have you seen this yet, the AoE is huge! I can't wait to try him out, looking at his abilities I'm thinking he will also excel at support as well due to his biggest damage output being his passive, plus he is designed to be built as a tanky caster which is pretty interesting as it's not something that has been done before afaik all of which helps in the botlane.

Yeah, that galaxy mechanic is pretty nuts.
