My FLGS has a bunch of Wrath of Kings boxes and I've been eying them for the past few weeks. Problem is, I haven't seen what the models look like in real life. Just pictures which can be deceptive.
Has anyone gotten any hands on with these models? Not interested in the game. (yet) I want to use them for other games, but I want to know they look size and quality compared to other games' models.

And a side note; Anyone know how the game is?

Pretty good post about it on this page:

IMO, the models are really fantastic, especially for the price point. They are "restic" but they're by far the best example of the medium that exists. Mould line cleaning was for me, for the most part, very easy. Once they're primed and painted they really look great, too.

The game is actually a really fluid, fun game system, that scales fairly well for all sizes. You can play a fun game out of the starter box very easily.

Awesome. That was more or less what I wanted to know about the models.
But scale? 28mm heroic I assume?

I like the minis (I got the goritsi and a selection of the others in the KS)

They are pretty much state of the art PVC, much better than most that has gone before both due to the casting, and because they've been sculpted to work with the material.

Cleanup is pretty straightforward as the casting seams tend to run in sensible places, and there's much less flash than I've seen with PVC before

They also have weapons/hands cast on spue (ABS rather than polystyrene so you still need superglue) which largely solves the problem with PVC just not being great for thin, sharp edged stuff

as with all PVC the thinner and more delicate the sculpt the worse it comes off (some of the Shae Han ladies are OK rather than great)

so I'd suggest starting with the chunkier stuff like the Teknes pigmen, Gortisis werewolves, the Pelgarth Howlers (spelling)or any of the Hadross stuff and see how you like them before going to more human sized stuff

Edit: I can't really comment on the game as nobody was interested in playing it with me, but it looks fine from my brief browse through the rules

also CMON are going to carry it on post KS, as we've started seen teases for new stuff like the image below from facebook today

They're a little larger than 28mm I think. I'll snap some photos when I get home. What do you want me to use as reference?

40k, infinity, WMH, Malifaux, anything like that.

Bought the scourge hound and shield breaker today. (Two giant werewolves.) Assembled them and wow! They were easy to clean, easy to assemble and look outstanding! Seriously, these are some high quality miniatures.
