Hey all, just curious what people's thoughts were. best value super heavy for a daemon heavy chaos army that is primarily tzeentch, but almost as much khorne.
(and yeah, out of ~5000 points, i have roughly 15 marines (including lords/sorcerer… and 20 cultists)

not big on vehicles, but i like walkers.

so for the money, which one is the most fun? (by whatever definition)

While I don't run superheavies myself, but I hear that a warhound scout titan with turbolasers is the way to go if your gonna roll chaos superheavies competitively.

Most fun though, I like the idea of the Lord of Skulls. Though in no way competitive, the idea of a tracked death machine beating things to death with a gigantic cleaver is fun to think about. Plus the idea of a cannon shooting skulls at people that proceed to gnaw on the them after exploding in their face just makes me smile.

"Because we couldn't be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We've all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we've all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher's Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.

The Wolves will always come to the heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn't behave that way. Only a dog does.

That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Typhon hands down. 370pts (with ceremite) for a vehicle which puts down a st10 ap1 7" ignores cover, primary wrapon, blast at 48" if it didn't move and 24" if it did. It also has +1 on the thunderblitz table which is massive! And with av14 all round, 6hps and ceremite, it is pretty durable!

isn't the typhon listed in all the imperial stuff on forge world's site? or did a new book come out saying it's/those are green lit for chaos?

Probably the Typhon.

And the Bras Scorpion is better Than the Lord of skulls.

Just keep things out of its butt.

Hellforged hunting pack

Fits in 1850 just. Horde of daemonengines. Get more attacks as they die.
Also generate blood points, so can summon infantry

I don't have the book to confirm, but it has the normal formation symbol, and not one of the apocalypse only symbols, so I assume they are all just ridiculously big formations.. .

What can an opponent actually do at 1850pts (or 1800 at the cheapest) about 8 maulerfiends and a GBS charging them by T2???
